Hexenturm (Witches Tower)

I have a Very old Photo of this Tower(the Hexenturm of Babenhausen), which came from my grandmothers family, with the back of the photo saying "Für Katie, Hexenturm Mit Mühlgasse". This photo is taken from the same angle as the one I own, but at a different time. It is belived to have been a mill tower originally built in the 1200-1400's, but may have been a place that they Held Witches for trial during the burning times as the other well known towers of the same name were. The photo I have is more detailed. I may scan it when I have a chance. Here is the link I found. Not sure what the family connection is to it yet. There were from Stuttgart supposedly, and this place is further north. Someone thought it important enough to hang onto. I a have always suspected hereditary witchcraft in the family but finding out what the photo I grew up with was of was still a shock. This is where I found it. http://www.helmutpfau.de/hexenturm.htm There are some other cool angles It is considered the emblem of the city of Babenhausen, which seems to have some connection with witchcraft. There is even a folk dance group that calls themselves Witches and wizards. Near by there is also a well known Ancient Oak which is over 500 years old
