I was in a bar on mission street when Obama gave his victory speech. It was amazing to see people actually crying tears of joy and i felt myself getin a bit misty eyed when he spoke of the 106 yr old lady and all she has seen in her life time. I felt as if we as Americans had done something truly great in electing this man to be our president. I was also thinking that this countries cool factor just went through the roof and that in the eyes of the world America has regained all the credibility we lost under Bush. Then I got really scared that someone was gonna shoot him but felt a bit better when I saw the bullet proof glass panels in front of him. He has this calmness and reassurance in the way he speaks and acts. He reminded me of FDR JFK and MLK with a little Marvin Gaye mixed in. I felt soothed. Then i went home lit two roman candles and a two inch mortar to celebrate.
