Vatican: It's OK to believe in aliens

    </a>
<div>I'm not Catholic but there are lots of them here on this planet. I thought this was pretty cool:

The chief astronomer says those beliefs don't contradict faith in God

VATICAN CITY - The Vatican's chief astronomer says that believing in aliens does not contradict faith in God.

The Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, the Jesuit director of the Vatican Observatory, said that the vastness of the universe means it is possible there could be other forms of life outside Earth, even intelligent ones.

In an interview published Tuesday by Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano, Funes said that such a notion "doesn't contradict our faith" because aliens would still be God's creatures.

The interview was headlined "The extraterrestrial is my brother."

Funes said that ruling out the existence of aliens would be like "putting limits" on God's creative freedom.

Everyone can play - an inspirational story

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/fravashi/blog/a28a4b4b-c89f-4897-a2d9-cc96b123accb"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/fc8/538/fc8538b3-1b18-49e6-b186-db4b833d9e87.thumb" width="65" height="41" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>I first heard this true story as described by who I consider to be my first spiritual teacher, Jack Kornfield.

Everyone can play

At a fundraising dinner for an American school that serves learning disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question:

"When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?" The audience was stilled by the query.

The father continued. "I believe, that when a child like Shay, physically and mentally handicapped comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes, in the way other people treat that child."Then he told the following story:

Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked,"Do you think they'll let me play?" Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.

Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked if Shay could play, not expecting much. The boy looked around for guidance and said, "We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning."

Shay struggled over to the team's bench put on a team shirt with a broad smile and his Father had a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart. The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field.

Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.

At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.

However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing the other team putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least be able to make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.

The game would now be over, but the pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.

But then, something amazing happened.

Instead of throwing directly to the first baseman, the pitcher threw the ball right over his head, out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, "Shay, run to first! Run to first!" Never in his life had Shay ever ran that far but made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.

Everyone yelled, "Run to second, run to second!" Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to second base. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball, the smallest guy on their team, who had a chance to be the hero for his team for the first time. He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions and he too intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.

All were screaming, "Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay" Shay reached third base, the opposing shortstop ran to help him and turned him in the direction of third base, and shouted, "Run to third! Shay, run to third" As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams and those watching were on their feet were screaming, "Shay, run home! Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the "grand slam" and won the game for his team.

That day, said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world. Shay didn't make it to another summer and died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making his father so happy and coming home and seeing his mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day! </div>

The reality of the dysfunction

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/fravashi/blog/1b39f442-2781-400e-8ddb-1f652de37a80"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/28d/a9b/28da9bc2-543f-4d48-8f67-437634ff014a.thumb" width="65" height="48" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>Ok, So I finally get it.

All of Eckharts teachings, all of the buddhist teachings, all of it.

It's almost here folks and it starts with you!

We are attached to an unhappy self.

That's right.

But it's not us, it's just the unhappy self.

That's what we need to get if we want to advance.

What is this unhappy self?

It's the left hemisphere of the brain.

WHAT?

That's right, the LEFT hemisphere of the brain, our brain, my brain, YOUR brain.

It's insane!

It thinks you are separate when you are not.

It acts much like an analytical computer. It observes things abstractly and then makes up relationship stories about those observations and then it makes up stories in relationship to those stories and what they mean in terms of another abstraction, the past and the future.

This is the part of us that is NOT now, it's purely abstract.

Now that's actually kind of cool that our brains can do that and evolutionarily it of course serves a purpose.

But the problem is that we have been endoctrinated into a world where we are told that this 'thinking' part of ourselves IS ourselves and it's been consciously and unconsciously re-inforced ever since we were kids.

But guess, what, it's NOT ourself! Part of us perhaps but NOT the big picture.

It's the erroneous identifiication with this part of ourselves which is making us all (humanity) act insane!

This is what Eckhart is tellings us. It's what I believe Christ came here to tell us, It's what Buddha came here to tell us.

We are NOT our mind and we are not our thoughts!

Here's a link to something that helped me to finally see this truth:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyyjU8fzEYU

This is the first hand account of a neuro-anatomist who ten years ago had a stroke. She was able to observe the inner workings of the mind as she was having this stroke and this is what she found.

The left hemisphere is the problem solver that is always trying to find and solve problems. And when we are not indentified with the left hemisphere we are calm, at peace and connected with that place that all our previous and current teachers talk about but which can't be named.

And it can't be named because it's outside the the realm of the problem solving abstract thinking left hemisphere!

WOW!

Holy shit!

So, if we stop identifying with this left brain consciousness and remember that we are NOT the left hemisphere we reach that state of 'enlightenment' that all the guru's who have gotten this before us have been telling us about.

It's real, it's now and it's YOU. ALL of YOU!

So what do you have to do to stop identifying with this neurotic constantly thinking and problem solving part of ourselves?

Simply observe it.

That's all you need to do. Just watch it it working. Watch it.

In the beginning you might get the left hemisphere telling you NO, you ARE those thoughts. If that's where you're at then try on the possibility that your not. Then observe it.

Or if you've already made the 'split' of dis-identifying from your thoughts you might just get an even clearer image of yourself as the observer of this unhappy self that can never be satisfied. that's all it is.

Eckhart is a genius and the neuro-anatomist from that link is also amazing. We are so lucky to be living right now...

Blessed be everyone! Blessed be!</div>

The truth about cancer - unknown source

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/fravashi/blog/6f0a0118-d11e-4c6b-8f30-be20911f1b03"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/85c/6de/85c6de91-dba8-4237-b887-cbee548b3c5e.thumb" width="65" height="71" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>I just got this this morning and found it very enlightening.

It turns out that this article is NOT from Johns Hopkins University which means this article falls under the 'hoax' category. And yet, the information still seems so good!

News from Johns Hopkins (not really, sorry)

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE THAT CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY TO
ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNs HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN
ALTERNATIVE WAY

Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins:

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show
up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When
doctors tell cancer patients that th ere are no more cancer cells in their
bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the
cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's
lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be
destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional
deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and
lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and
including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing ca ncer cel ls and
also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow,
gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver,
kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages
healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor
size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in
more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation
the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can
succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become
resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to
spread to other sites

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not
feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder.
By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer
cells. Sugar substitutes like Nutrasweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with
Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka
honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical
added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg' s aminos or
sea salt.

b.Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-i
ntestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus.
By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells
are being starved.

c.Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment.
A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken
rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth
hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with
cancer.

d.A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts
and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment.
About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices
provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular
levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To
obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable
juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2
or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40
degrees C).

Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine.
Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water-
best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy
metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12.Meat protein is difficult to digest
and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the
intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or
eating less meat it frees more
enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's
killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system (IP6, Flor
ssence,Essiac,anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAetc.) to enable the
body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells. Other supplements like
vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's
normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15.Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. Anger, unforgiveness
and bitterness put the body into anacidic environment. Learn to have a
loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising
daily, and deep breathing help to
get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means
employed to destroy cancer cells.

PLEASE READ ON
1. No plastic containers in micro.
2. No water bottles in freezer.
3. No plastic wrap in microwave.

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out i n its newsletters. This
information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as
welDioxin chemicals causes cancer, especially breast cancer.
Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies.

Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases
dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program
Manager at Castle Hospital was on a TV program to explain this health
hazard.

He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should
not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This
especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination
of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately
into the cells of the body.

Instead, he recommends using glass, such as CorningWare, Pyrex or ceramic
containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the d
ioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should
be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad
but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered
glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us tha t a while ago some of the fast
food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin
problem is one of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous
when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked,
the high heat ca uses poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic
wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

    </a>
<div>I decided to turn my tribe profile into a music video gallery for a while so that all you bored kids that need to distract yourselves from 'work' or whatever can come over and watch cool music video's that you'd probably never see otherwise.

http://people.tribe.net/fravashi

Right now I'm featuring three video's and next week I'll switch them out with some others if it seems that people are interested.

This weeks video's:

Video 1- Db Boulvard - different point of view. A cool animated video I first discovered on Euro Mtv around 2002. Great lyrics and an a song that makes you want to dance.

Video 2- okiriko bushi / omodaka. Another animated one, this time from a japanese artist. This one is very trippy and has some subtle sacred geometry featured. The story (if you really think about it) is very cool. Think 'creation'

VIdeo 3- Cirrus - Stop and Panic. Did you get to experience the Rave days of the mid and late 90's? If you did then check out this video to reminise or if you didn't take a look at what you missed out on.

Enjoy!

<div>This is a little blurb that I liked from one of Dan Millman's books that I'm reading: The Sacred Journey of the Peacefull Warrior, and wanted to share:

She smiled. "When the student is ready, the teacher appears."

"I've heard that one before, I said.

"But do you really understand? That statement really means 'When the student is ready, the teacher appears - Everywhere': in the sky, in the trees, in taxicabs and banks, in your enemies. We're all teachers for one another. There are teachers in every neighborhood, in every city, state, and country - teachers for every level of consciousness. As in every field, some are more skilled or aware than others. But it doesn't matter. Because everything is an oracle; it's all connected; every piece mirrors the Whole, when you have eyes to see, and ears to hear. This may sound abstract to you now, but one day - and that day may not be too far away - you will absolutely understand it. And when you do," she said, picking up a shiny stone, "you'll be able to gaze into this stone, or examine the veins of this leaf, or watch a paper cup blowing in the wind, and you'll understand the hidden principles of the universe."</div>

										<div>from the tao te ching

Yield and prevail. Bend and be straightened. Empty and be filled.... The great man embraces the One, and becomes its model to the empire. Not showing off, he shines. Not asserting himself, he becomes known. Not taking credit, he is acclaimed. Not boasting, he endures. He does not strive against others, so others do no contend with him. The ancients said, "Yield and prevail." Is that a worthless saying? Put it into practice, and all things will come to you.

<div>According to a 1998 report in The New York Times, Fountain of Hope, a non-profit organization, informs that Jenkem is used by street children in Lusaka, Zambia to obtain a "powerful high".[3] A 2002 multi-authored report implemented by nine voluntary organizations in Zambia, headed by Fountain of Hope and financed by among others UNICEF and prepared by Project Concern International, Zambia and Dr. Musonda Lemba, Consultant, University of Zambia, titled "Rapid Assessment of Street Children In Lusaka," Jenkem is listed as the third most popular drug among Lusaka's street children, following Dagga (cannabis) and "glue and Dagga" but ahead of "Ballan" (uncured tobacco) and petrol.[4] The raw materials are plentiful and freely available in the form of fecal matter from the open sewers of Lusaka. This is then fermented in plastic bottles and the fumes are inhaled. John C. Zulu, director of the Ministry of Sport, Youth and Child Development in Zambia informs Salon.com in November 2007 that Jenkem usage is less common than glue-sniffing and, "Initially, they used to get it from the sewer, but they make it anywhere [...] They say it keeps them warm and makes them fearless."[2]

Psychoactive effects

The effects of Jenkem inhalation last for around an hour and consist of auditory and visual hallucinations[1]. A fifth-grader in Lusaka said of Jenkem to an IPS reporter (IPS is an independent wire service) in 1995, "Old man, this is more potent than cannabis."[5] In a BBC report four years later, a 16-year-old boy described his preference for jenkem over other inhalants, "With glue, I just hear voices in my head. But with Jenkem, I see visions. I see my mother who is dead and I forget about the problems in my life."[1]

Ants - ya gotta love em

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/fravashi/blog/ab1c366d-b04d-41da-a164-34612f99b701"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/e55/c57/e55c57fc-8229-4db5-b3ef-a871b76ffe97.thumb" width="65" height="54" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>The last few weeks I've had a pretty extreme ant invasion in my home (they LOVE my messy kitchen). In these weeks I've had a lot of time to really observe them and get into their ant psychology...

Truth is, I really do like them. I think they are cool and I think they are neat and actually I think they are worthy of being... immitated.

Ants live in a colony where it seems to me the main purpose in the betterment of that colony. Each ant goes out each day knowing that that day could be it's very last. Ant mortality can be pretty high. But these ants go on and do what they need to do to make sure their colony is functioning and thriving and along the way I believe they probably get a satisfaction from what they are doing since they are serving something larger than themselves.

People are not like ants. Although like ants we live in a colony (Our household, or our city, or our nation) we do not seem to care about the health and well being of our colony. Instead we seem mostly preoccupied with what WE are getting out of it.

Instead of thinking and acting in a way that betters our colony we go around silently chanting the mantra "me me me" and pushing other members of our colony into the gutter so that we (the individual) can have more of what we want. But of course at the cost of the other having less. So much less that in many cases the result is their death.

It seems that we all want to have the biggest house and the fanciest car and the biggest position at the company. Why? What does that get us besides being able to point at the other guy who doesn't have what we have and in some sick way feel better about ourselves? I can't help but think of that kid on the Simpsons who's always laughing at someone elses suffering and saying "ha-ha"

but back to the ants:

What would it be like if all of a sudden the ants decided that what was more important than the survival and health of their colony was their own personal survival and comfort. Ants would look out only for themselves and soon the colony would inevitably start to fall apart and then collapse leaving ALL ants of the colony to suffer and die.

I've heard people compare our culture to a cancer before... Meaning that we spread out and consume and consume and consume or even worse (enslave) beyond our needs leave a big mess wherever we go.

This Western consumerism culture has spread all over the world now and it seems to me that mankind is going further and further out of balance. What will stop this? When will this end? Does it have to play out with a return to another dark age where we fight it out in the streets over food and water? Or invade other nations to steal their resources?

Is there another way? Can we instead learn something from the ants and stop thinking about just ourselves and start thinking about our species and our world? What would that take?

If I were driving right now (which I'm not) I'd put two bumper stickers on my car. One would be:

"Consume less - Live more"

And the other would be an image of the Earth with the words Love your Mother written in a circle around it.

Maybe little actions like that make a difference, I can only hope.</div>

    </a>
										<div>Wow.

So right now I'm sitting in pretty much the most she-she coffee shop I've seen in Colorado so far (common grounds in Highlands, Denver)

I'm surrounded by upwardly successful middle upper class Americans who all look so pretty and stylish! I swear it's like some kind of L.A. bubble that's appeared here in CO. There are guys on cell phones talking with business partners in L.A. and everything...

So odd.

I bought a 4 dollar vanilla latte (my favorite) and it's pretty damn good.

=)

I had a great breakthrough in song writing today. I write songs, did you know that? So I decided to celebrate by coming here.

It's nice.

A guy just dropped off some magazines by my table called 303. I flipped through it and it's some kind of fashion/advertisment magazine. I'm dumbfounded by just how ridiculous the 'cool' fashion is in this thing. The models are pretty of course but they just don't have the umph that my incredible real life friends have.

It's amazing how pretty we are isn't it?

Muhahahaha.

P.S. squirrels will rule the Earth.

    </a>
										<div>Hi Y'all,

This is Agave and I've been having the time of my life!

I've been on a journey!

It all began back in July when I decided to work a festival (setup and breakdown) pretty much for the first time in my life and I fucking LOVED it! The 7-7-7 Infinity Fest.

lots of physical labor, digging trenches, building sweat lodges, and clearing paths and stuff like that...

After that I was totally hooked. As soon as I got home I told my landlord I was moving out nearly immediately then literally days after getting back from 7-7-7 I was taking the bus and hitchhiking to the Dreamtime festival to join their work crew and help build it.

The festival itself was Awesome but there were also lots of behind the scenes drama going on for us workers. But true to it's form, all that drama created HUGE waves of transformation that I witnessed with my own eyes. That's something that not everybody sees yet but I know it's true.

On this part of my journey I made some friends with people I would have never have had the chance to meet before. Two of these people I Love like brothers and working along side these men I finally felt for the first time that in my life I was "doin' it Right!"

From there I traveled to Salt lake city Utah where I was able to go to the very same hospital that I was born in, and no, in case you're wondering I'm Not mormon. I had gone there in hopes that they might have my original birth certificate there so I could possibly find out who my biological father was.

But sadly they don't carry that stuff anymore but they did give me another lead that I haven't followed up on but will eventually.

The Salt lake city people were really cool. It looks like a big booming Burner community there. Lots of talented fire dancers working their art as well as engineers and all kinds. This years Ganesh bus (my favorite new BM vehicle) at the burn was their creation.

From Utah I traveled on to California, my true home, with a new friend from Dreamtime I had just made who just happened to be going to another festival! This took me to the SolFest festival in Northern Cali which was looking for voluneer crew to help them build the festival! My friend who'd worked it before made the introduction and I was in!

Ya gotta love the perfect timing!

So I work this festival which turns out to be all about sustainable building and living and solar energy and all kinds of stuff like that which is kinda cool to learn about. The strange part was that since It was a pretty public event it drew kind of a more normal crowd then I'm used to hanging out with. It look a little work but I was able to adjust to it after a little bit. No eyeliner and mystical symbols around these guys.

The work at SolFest was HARD. It was a full week of loading and unloading haybales, chairs and tables and stuff like that by hand as well as pounding T stakes for the fences. Good muscle building stuff.

One of the coolest women I've met in a long long time whom I met at Dreamtime also showed up for this festival too which was a total blast getting to work alongside her again.

Then as soon as I could find a ride, I left Solfest near the end of the event and got to spend about a week with my good family friends who live in northern california. This was soooo needed and had a great visit.

And then of course...

Burningman!

I was too late to work for DPW (the Burning man infrastructure team) for setup so I decided I would buy my ticket and just go as a festival goer like I have in previous burns.

It was one of the Best Burningman Years of My Life.

And you know why???

Campmates, Campmates, Campmates!

I camped with the coolest people I think I know on this planet, my favorite Colorado burners... Ahhhhh.

No drama, just fun and lots of Love.

I love these people seriously, All of You!

=)

So then Burningman ends and by coincidence "as if there was such a thing" I run into one of those incredible people I met at Dreamtime. We sit and chat and catch up with what's been going on with us and then almost immediately one of their friends comes over to say hello and guess who this person turns out to be? Only the lead person for the cafe decor breakdown who's looking for volunteers to come join her breakdown crew.

She asks if I want to join and I say Yes Mamn. So now I know what I'll be doing for the next four days, breaking down center camp!

I say goodbye to my beloved campmates and wish them safe journeys.

Then, four days of HARD labor again! Loading the benches, tables and sofas from center camp into trucks, then cutting down the shade structure (DPW does the heavy labor for the structure on that) and then mooping the whole area and the living area of all the people who worked center camp.

For those of you reading this that aren't burners, "mooping" is the removal of anything from the ground that isn't supposed to be naturally there. This includes, human hair, chips of wood, bindi's (LOTS of bindis), cigarette butts (LOTS of cigarette butts), batteries from blinkies, the blinkies, detached bits of astroturf (DO NOT bring astroturf to the playa, bad, bad, bad), broken mirrors and broken plastic and glass (lots of that too) including of course all kinds of stuff too. It's CRAAAZY the amount of stuff we have to pick up.

It was Great!

So then I'm like, what now... Do I REALLY want to do DPW and help them on breakdown? Those guys are supposed to be insane or so I've been told. As I'm making up my mind on this my other good friend I made at Dreamtime who also works DPW shows up and asks me what I'm doing. I don't even have to think about it and the answers there. DPW of course! He tells me who I need to talk to, welcomes me aboard and I'm in!

Ok, so that was like 3 or 4 weeks ago?

In that time I've helped take this whole city apart and I've mooped.

Mooped and Mooped and Mooped!

But you know what? I love every minute of it, I really do.

I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.

;)

Much love from the road,

Taking Responsibility...

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/fravashi/blog/c2553743-34c2-42f3-8f39-65468f5b946d"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/b9e/da2/b9eda244-531d-42c8-bc5c-dde2c77a93cc.thumb" width="65" height="53" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>Ok, so here's something new (and old) I'm playing with right now...

Taking Responsibility...

Lots of people already know about this one... One of the most powerfull things you can do for your self is to take responsibility for the things you have created in your life.

If you've gone through the Landmark Forum you'll know that taking responsibility for the relationships and situations you've created for yourself leads to some pretty powerfull transformative events in your life.

Once you stop *blaming* others for your situation all the negative energies in those areas can often just *disappear* and be replaced by something much Much Much greater!

ok, so I realize that for many of you that this idea is old hat but it also seems that being reminded of this fact seems to be a good thing. I know for me it's something that comes in ebbs and flows.

It seems that for me, I can go for what seems like years sometimes without remembering to 'take responsibility' but once I remember EVERYTHING changes.

Ok, so that's the angle that some of us already know but if you're reading this and are working on relationships in your life that are giving you woes that by all means GO FOR IT. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for them and See what happens!</div>
