It's all Derek's fault (well, ALMOST) that I'm on the internet. Derek owns a piece of it - even though he's ridiculously humble about it. I love how open and friendly and willing to share he is - and how he encourages other people to do so, too. plus, he's funny. also, he likes chihuahuas - although i suppose i should give THOSE props to his beautiful wife for showing him the way. Way to go Heather! ;-)

I know Derek through the Fray, conferences and online community. He's always treated me well and his reputation as a stellar fella' preceded him and was spot on. I admire his commitment to story telling and positive Web tools.

Derek is a wonderful guy with an open mind and an open heart. His smile can brighten up a room.

So where do I get a ticket so I can see Derek naked?

Derek oozes charisma. And I don't mean "ooze" in The Blob sense. And I don't mean "charisma" in the carsalesman's cheesy smile sense.

Derek cares. About you. No really. Tell him a story. He wants to hear it.

I haven't seen Derek naked, but I still think he's really swell.
