Elevate is the first 48-hour film festival to challenge the international film community to create works of social and global importance. Their mission is to unify through art and media by bringing awareness to organizations and individuals who are making a positive impact on our world.
The film festival challenged 15 filmmakers from all around the world to complete an entire short piece (documentary, narrative or music video) all within 48 hours.
Produced by acclaimed director Drew Heriot (The Secret) and festival founder and award winning filmmaker Mikki Willis. The final films were screened at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood CA. Elevate is the first film festival which was invited on September 15, 2007 into the 3,400 seat Kodak, home of the Academy Awards.
Engaged!! :-)
So - some big news this christmas :-)For those who don't know Rob yet - here is a little update:
I met Rob in Asia - he was doing film work in Borneo with the Orangutan Foundation and I was doing film work India... we were matchmakered by a woman who worked with him in Borneo that I met in Japan - and we ended up meeting in Thailand and three days later we were in Laos and a couple :-)
A few days ago (on christmas eve)... he built me an ice skating rink behind his parents house in Spokane, WA and danced and skated on the ice... and then out of the BLUE got down on his knee on the ice and pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him :-)
He knows me so well... the ring is white gold and blue topaz (my birth stone) and when you put the wedding band together with this piece - it forms a heart :-)
In total shock... had no idea it was coming... but I am so happy that it did...
He is the most amazing person... and I am the luckiest girl ever :-)
