Ok. I got a new job. It is pretty much everything that I think I was looking for. This has me both nervous and excited… o and it starts tomorrow. I will be working at Sapient a global technology and business consulting company. The position is based in New England, with headquarters in Boston (Back Bay Orange line stop / by Copley). My position is a project manager for mid to larger customers, overseeing all aspects of the customer engagement (design, development, delivery, support). My...

In this moment, I am grateful. I do not miss or long for anything. In this moment I accept where I am at and do not look forward or behind. I do not judge myself but accept that this is where I am. My mind and spirit are simply present and appreciative in this moment.

Today my grandfather died. And while he wasn't a part of my life for the past 10 or more years, his passing has been tough on my mother. This has also been a reminder to me of how short our time here is; how important the people we love and who love us are; and that I want great, stupid, crazy, loving stories told about me one day. The way I will judge my life, is by these. Today my ex showed me how much she ha... read more

One of your ads on tribe shows a guy in fur covered gear, holding a short used fire staff. The staff is not currently burning, but the ad makes it appear that your gear is great to wear for fire performances. THIS IS EXTREEMLY DANGEROUS, and should be removed from a moral and liable stand point. Clothes like this individual is wearing would catch fire VERY easily, and literally melt to the person’s skin. Please be more responsible with your advertising and remove this and any other ads th...

Re: Alternative Monday Night Space

I think we can get a consistent 20 people that will come and pay $5 for the evening. I am also willing to donate the first hour teaching different things for folks during this time. My big concern is that the space isn't big enough. It has been...

I have known Chad for a long time. It is strange how in the years we have watched each other change and grow into the mutated interesting people that i love. Having Chad in my life has been a constant in a sometimes chaotic life, and that makes me happy.

When I visit Chad's page on Tribe it says: "You are friends with Chad Bennett", and that makes me feel warm and fuzzy, and extremely fortunate.

I consider myself lucky to know Chad. There's aren't many people out there I can say that for. One of Chad's most wonderful traits is that he is truly GENUINE. He has taught me everything about poi, and it has changed my life. He is a one-of-a-kind man, and I'm glad to know him. I moved to Boston from Houston a while back, and it wasn't until knowing Chad and others through the BU poi class that I really started to know my new Boston identity. Thank you Chad. You're the greatest.

When I was a baby I had a few near death experiences...I stopped breathing a few times and back then my father was sensetive enough to get the feeling he should wake up. He would try franticly to revive me but nothing worked untill he splashed cold water on my face. Looking back I viewed it as myself in babyhood trying to take the easiest way out I could. Maybe I knew growing up in this world wasn't going to be easy for me.....who knows. Well it wasn't anyway.... is growing up easy for anyone though? Yes.... this is going somewhere... Last week I had my first Poi class with Chad. For months I was tring to learn the weave and it just wasn't happening. With some help from Chad and a couple of other kind hearted individuals in the class I had picked it up by the end of the class. As Chad was trying to teach me the trick I had been having such a hard time with something he said struck me... It wasn't anything elaborate, not complicated....two words he spoke over and over again....
"Just Breath" .....he said "just breath" in my mind part of me thought, "how is this going to help?!" "he thinks he knows everything and he doesn't", "why is breathing so important anyway?" Why is breathing so important anyway. Each day every minute we are alive we breathe. When we concentrate on breathe we are making a concious decision to live. To be alive. To live. To breathe is to dance to sing....to do Poi....to love...... to laugh....to Live. Thank you Chad for reminding us to live and not to be afraid to try. *Blessings* Lily
