</a>
										<div>Greetings from Free Range Studios!

Some of you may be wondering what happened to Aaron's appearance on "America's Got Talent." The good news is that Aaron appeared briefly in episode 8 on August 5th, the first round of 'Vegas week.' You can infer from that appearance that indeed Aaron made it past the first round and got a free trip to Las Vegas! However, he only appeared very briefly in 3 different shots.

In Episode 8, the Judges called everyone to the theatre to tell them that they were going to review their first round auditions again to judge which acts they would allow to perform in Las Vegas, as there were over 100 acts passed through. Aaron was let go, not given a chance to do his 2nd audition (which he spent over a month preparing for!) after traveling all the way to Vegas. Unfortunately his first audition, in which he made it through, was never aired. Maybe he wasn't excited enough or in tears when Jerry Springer interviewed him after his victory, or maybe there simply wasn't enough time to show everyone...

Nonetheless, Aaron is moving forward with some wonderful projects which we will be updating you on shortly including some new concert dates and new recordings soon to be released.

Thank you for all of your support!

Namaste,

“Imagine a world where we as a community would learn the skills to build a village, harvest rain water, use less and less energy, eat out the back door. A community where we could cut through the walls that isolate us and begin to create these new platforms. Be a model of efforts for people looking to forge a reality from their dreams. Creating bridges in a world where distance is everywhere, a sea standing between what WE have and what WE will to create. At the end of the line we share a togetherness and it began the day we as a people begin to construct a reality that is all about what we dream to be right and good. Out the back door to the left we have our gardens, living in houses developed by our own hands, taking in all the good information that will sustain a future that we work to create, a world of friendships that span a lifetime, connectedness. A community of designers shaping out a world built by our own hands.”</div>

Krakatoa: Eruptions of International Sound

Houston's underground international music scene is hot and lively as ever! On Saturday February 10, Free Range studios is proud to present Krakatoa: Eruptions of International Sound.

In 1883, Krakatoa -- a volcano on an island in the Sunda Strait between Java and Sumatra in Indonesia -- erupted in a series of massive explosions, generating the loudest sound ever historically reported, heard up to 3,000 miles away with shock waves traveling around the planet seven times. On an evening sure to generate as much buzz and sound, Free Range Studios, located at 1719 Live Oak Street, is hosting an evening of world music from the local scene, organically grown foods and a variety of worldwide goods for purchase -- all in a family-friendly environment.

Gypsy Dance Theatre will get you in touch with your inner gypsy as they grace the stage this evening to get the crowd groovin' to a fusion of European, Middle Eastern and Western motifs.

Audio Telepathy melds Indian classical music infused with subtle textures of electronic sounds. Aaron Hermes plays the sitar accompanied this evening by a master tabla player from India.

Space City Gamelan is Houston's one and only Indonesian Orchestra, delivering sonic tonics and bringing the court tradition to venues and ceremonies the city over. Their instruments, which were handmade in Java, are equally as wonderful to look at as well as listen to.

With performances beginning at 8 p.m., "Krakatoa: Eruptions of International Sound" will offer visitors the opportunity to sample the finest in international music, right here in Texas!

At 7 p.m., prior to the evening's featured performances, a dinner of organic greens and vegetarian cuisine prepared with love by the Live Oak Outpost Urban Garden will be served to sounds provided by DJ Fili (from KPFT's Voz de la Tierra).

In addition, Ten Thousand Villages will be present this evening, offering fairly traded handcrafted gift items for sale. Ten Thousand Villages is a 501(c) nonprofit fair trade and home decor store in Rice Village -- supporting artists and their families in over 30 countries. A percentage of Ten Thousand Villages sales at this event will be donated to the non-profit organization, Space City Gamelan.

Admission to the evening's festivities is $10, with all proceeds benefiting Live Oak Outpost Urban Garden.

Free Range Studios is located at 1719 Live Oak Street, Unit E, near downtown Houston. For more information on Free Range Studios or upcoming events, call (713) 228-9110 or e-mail freerangestudios@gmail.com
