about me
I am a very laid back and non-conforming type of guy who loves excitement, and thrills.
Jumping out of planes or swimming with sharks would be my idea of a good time. Extreme sports and maximum risks are what makes life interesting. I never take life too seriously because life is too short not to be enjoyed to the fullest. Hence, I am a huge fan of Tom Leykis and "The Rules". I consider myself to be a little nerdy, geekish with a wacky, sarcastic evil sense of humor. I never let things get me down and as far as I'm concerned there is no problem than cannot be solved. I am always optimistic, adventurous with a sunny disposition. I guess many people would consider me unconventional. Whether in work, play or life each day is a new day with new challenges and fun. My friends are very important to me and there's nothing I wouldn't do to help them out. I'm also one of those who keeps their friends very near but keep enemies nearer. A friend recent dug this
up about my zodiac sign. I was skeptical at first but it does sound very much like me.

It will be the Chinese New Year's Eve on the 25th Jan. Under most circumstances I would've been out in town having a ball of a time, but this year has been met with setbacks after setbacks and my family isn't doing anything with the celebrating. Generally celebration begins on the 24th and will continue for the next 5 days with dozens of events, fireworks etc. But the Chinese New Year is more of a family event than anything else. Of course I have no family here in HK other than my mother, so ...

About 4 weeks ago I skipped over a fence and thought I had sprained a tendon or perhaps a muscle, so I put some ointment on the infected area and rubbed in the cream with hope it will go away in 4-5 days. Well the sprain didn't go away, in fact it got worse, so bad that I had to go to the hospital last weekend (Jan 11) and was admitted into emergency and stayed in the hospital for 4 days. After some X-rays and other scans, the doctors have determined that the metastasized lung cancer has work...

Today is my 5th session at the hospital for Radiation therapy for the cancer. We've resorted to Radiology since my body reacted negatively to all the chemo treatments, so the the final round is to do the Radiology treatment. I'll know more of the results after the 10 sessions. Hopefully the radiation treatment will be enuf to kill the cancer cells that's in my thorax area.
Earlier today I had an appointment with the ENT Doctor as well and he simply ended my participation with RenFaire for ...

So after my trip back from Sendai (and boy was I glad to get home) I got ready for my next round of treatment. Lucky my sale of my English great sword plus the earnings from the Sendai photo shoot helped to cover this entire round of Radiation treatment. According the Radiology Doctor, this should help kill the cancer cells, hopefully it will also help improve my super raspy voice which started developing after I started taking Tarceva. Tomorrow will be another session and it will go on till ...

A lot of friends send me stuff that are quite funny, and some are just down right insane, this is a good example of both.

I'm getting to appreciate having my laptop with me wherever I go as it makes it so much easier to hook onto whatever network is available. Well... I have one more day to get thru in Sendai before my assignment is complete and has been rather interesting including having a model direct me back. Normally it's the Creative Director that directs my shooting, but somehow on one particular shoot my model is also the C.D. so she was directing camera angles on how she wants to be shown. Unfortunately...
