Hailing from Milwaukee,WI, music has always been a huge factor in the life of Freeze. Rooted in Soul music from the 70's and 80's, his childhood was filled with The Ohio Players, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, and The Isley Brothers echoing throughout his household.
As a youngster, rap artists such as Kriss Kross got Freeze excited about Hip Hop. As he and his musical taste grew, he discovered Nas. He took an interest in the debut album “Illmatic”. The album single handedly changed his outlook on rap music and how he listened to it. The album displayed how rhyme schemes and serious thought goes into the music.
In 1999, Freeze began freestyle rapping for fun with his friends; this soon turned into rap battles where Freeze was crowned the most ferocious and tagged the best. Around this same time Freeze united with TONEtheONE. They formed the two man crew called “The 2 Greatz” and formed RenaiZZance ENT. The duo has released two albums.
While the years rolled by, Freeze developed his lyricism, creativity, flow, song structure, recording, and began beat production as well.
In 2006, he produced and recorded his solo debut, "Real Rap". It is considered by many to be a hip-hop classic to this very day. 2007 was a year for Freeze to find himself spiritually. 2008 brought the release of "ThaMission". This album is unique because it is hip hop, yet it has no vulgar language or any violent subject matter.
