Adventures in cleaning Part II

So the living room is comming along nicely. I now just need to find a new futon and get it into the house. The kitchen is another story. I've got at least and hour of dishes I DONT want to do. But once the dishes are done it'll be basically clean, so I just need to quit my whining. Then it's the dining room, the spare bedroom. furniture painting and then my bedroom. At least I'll find all my sex toys in the process hopefully before the party with work friends Saturday night.

Spring Cleaning

So all this week I'm cleaning my apartment. Yep every night this week M-F. If you are interested in chatting me up while I clean I'd be forever greatful. I can personally bribe you with computer help, alcohol, drugs, laughter, free dibs on anything I'm getting rid of, or help cleaning your house. All you got to do is sit around and talk to me or amuse yourself with my itunes or watch movies. I know it's weird, but I get more done when somone is around.

2 Day Roller Derby Tournament in Davis

I've got futuons and such, and a spare bedroom for your own space kinda thing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE BIG ONE IS COMING TO CALIFORNIA! Sac City Rollers and Bay Area Derby Girls host the first ever California Women's Flat Track Roller Derby tournament in Davis, CA. Saturday, April 5th and Sunday, April 6th, 2008 Roller Derby leagues from Northern and Southern California will converge at the Davis Indoor Sports Center (DISC) for a weekend tournament to compete for the title of California Champion! Participating leagues include the Sac City Rollers, Bay Area Derby Girls, Sacred City Derby Girls, Angel City Derby Girls, Bakersfield Rollergirls, Central Coast Roller Derby, Orange County Derby Girls and the Port City Roller Girls. Leagues were chosen based on their Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) status and include sanctioned and non-sanctioned leagues. For the sanctioned leagues, participation in this tournament has implications in national WFTDA ranking, making the tournament play much more exciting! "With Roller Derby growing in the state of California to over 14 leagues, we thought it was time to bring the best of the bunch to Davis and have them compete for the first-ever California WFTDA Championship! With four WFTDA leagues competing, it will really be a battle for the title" says Taxi Scab from the Bay Area Derby Girls. Tickets are available for $15 (full day) and $25 (weekend) and can be purchased by going to www.brownpapertickets.com. This is an all ages event. Saturday tournament play begins at 12:45pm with the opening ceremony and concludes at 7:30pm. Sunday's tournament play begins at 9:00am and concludes at 2:30pm. The Championship begins at 3:00pm and concludes at 4:30pm followed immediately by the awards ceremony and closing remarks.

I've been in a odd mood lately and while talking to a friend I thought this weird thought. You know how they have the suicide hotline. Why was it originally started, was it because suicide was like this huge problem or because they wanted to stop people from committing it because suicide is a crime or both like they spend money on law enforcement to stop other crime, but since you would never really 'catch' someone in the act of the crime if you were a cop they started this hotline... Is this the only crime in america for which there is a help line to keep you from preventing it? If they started a truely anonymous hotline for other crimes would there be less. Like if you could call someone and be like 'hey I think I might murder my wife' can you help? Maybe it's not realistic, but I thought it was pretty funny. In a psychotic sort of way.

You know you do! I've upgraded from the push-valve whip it canister shown above (I believe 1/2 liter - i.e one charger) to something exotic that will also do warm whips for specialty cooking. The one I have is blue instead of the plain silver shown, and I'm selling it for 25$ you pick up from me or we do an exchange that is extremely convienent for me. Note: this is a push valve variety and not the more common old skool load and twist

My sister in law just checked herself into an alcohol rehab center for a month. Not sure what my brother is gonna do working full time with two kids minus her income. Wondering why he didn't notice her problem. Wondering if there is anything I can realisticly do to help on either my bros side or her recovery side. He's two years older and yet our lives are so completely different.

Being a Daddy

Yesterday was my 3rd year aniversary with my baby girl. It was amazing to me to see how far we have grown. The things she has shown me, and helped me to discover. The things I have shown her. The things we have discovered together. We find new boundries everyday that define just how we fit together, and we communicate them with compassion. We know that these boundries are also often fluid so we renegotiate them often. She is my baby girl. She and her wife are part of my family now. She has taught me that being a daddy is about love, D/S, pushing limits, being emotionally availible, and respect on both sides. It is about creating a space that fosters open communication, growth, learning, clear boundries, and flexibility. Being able to participate in a relationship like this is an honor, even when it is difficult. Thank you baby for teaching me so much about myself, and for letting me teach you.

This is one of my favorite times of year. There is moisture in the air and a crisp blowing breeze. People everywhere turning inside while I turn out. Taking quiet strolls and now hopefully rides. This is a time of softening and vulnerability.

It's like all the fucking wanna be script kiddies that just copy and paste all the auto-fabbed "put this on your page" shite. And they don't even know what a script kiddie is. Technology is becoming so 'accessable' to the universe with 'high level' hack something together fast drivel (probably what myspace is currently being run with) that quality has completely gone out the window. Regualr people just buy SHITE because it's some new shiny something on the 'edge' whatever that is. Probably a fucking phone that directly uploads your cameraphone pics to myspace.

So I've been trying to myspace with hard effort for a LONG time. Somehow when I first signed up (with the email I use for everything web related and social what not that I've had since 1992) my profile was whacked along with other things. So I made an alternate profile with a different e-mail which some friends managed to link into. But then I wanted to delete the old profile so I could associate that e-mail with my working account. I've tried 5 times over the last year or so. They finally managed to delete my whole profile but didn't delete my account. So yeah I'm on my 6th email in the last 3 days. They suck ass and keep telling me to do something I already told them like 3 times I can't do. Fucking LAME. I'm trying real hard to relate to people who know nothing about technology and obviously suscribe to a lame ass setup (minus the music you can listen to) but DUDE it shouldn't take this much fucking effort to set up a godamn internet profile.

Sleep and Eficiancy

Sleep and efficiancy have a strange relationship. Like when you have been up so long that you are getting things done and things are moving along, but if you were watching yourself you'd be like dude I'm totally moving at a snails pace. So if you slept you'd be more efficient, but of course you'd loose all that time sleeping. In the end everyone has to sleep sometime. But thinking in the short term week at burningman box which is better? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
