It's wet, dark and I would rather crawl into my nest and just sleep. I like these kind of days. There's no pressure, but Monday is just around the corner. The clock is ticking and the hours are becomeing fewer. My Sunday is just about over. Should I just lay there or should I do something productive? Why do I feel quilty for relaxing, laying in my nest and just being cozy. Oh what the hell, I have the rest of the week to be a productive mad woman. I think I will take this time for me,and I think everyone out there should take one day to themselve to do the same.

As a women who has lived through termoil I reach out to my younger sisters to encourage them to continue in the womens movement. The struggles are not over for us but many have fallen into a false sence of security. Women and children lead the roles in this country's poverty, and violence agains women is on the rise. Education is the key for women along with realizing our strenth and imortance. Women are the light and keepers of life and we have the intellegence to institute change in our society. We must support one another and not become complacent. We can and do make a differance. Those of use who remember the movement of the 60's must reach out to the younger sisters and teach them of the struggles of our foremothers. We did not simply win the right to vote, we won freedoms. Not so long ago, common law concidered a women legally dead once she was married. Common law also suggested that a husbund disapline his wife any way he saw fit ,short of murdering her, in and effort to keep her in line. Women are still living this way in this country and abroad. Women everywhere must rise to the place that they truely believe that they are capable of greatnessm, and that they can overcome opression. We are women and we are strong;there is power in the sisterhood.
