This morning, I had to go to a conference in Oakland. So, at a quarter to seven this morning, I was leaving Berkeley, and drove by the engineering building. A guy was locking up his car... next to the engineering building. This guy was decked head to toe in black. Nicely dressed fellow, black slacks and button down shirt. All in black, except... A BRIGHT white, floor length, fur coat.
ummm, at a quarter to seven in the morning. ummm, in front of the Berkeley engineering building.
I can only say one thing.
RIGHT ON!
I want to start going to meetings like that.

Real fur? I don't know. I think so. It was a quarter to seven in the morning. and, while I did slow down to get a better look, I really didn't want to deal with anything or anyone.
Oh, but I did yell "PIMPIN" to myself in the car after I'd soaked it all in. No, it wasn't funfur or some burningman thing. If it was fake, it was a very realistic fake. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Aint noone got style like an old black man got style. And I DON'T think he would be wearing a fake fur... Especially in Berkeley. |

Where I work in Downtown Oakland there's a shop that all the stylin' men go to. I don't know how many times I've stopped men coming out of that shop to tell them how sharp they look. The shoes, suits, hats, jewelry. Fucking slick straight pimpin'. Men just don't dress like that anymore so I'm always impressed and have to compliment when I see it.
