Thanks!
Yeah, you guys were troopers sitting through that long service. I knew it wouldn't be the hour long normal service but I was told it'd be closer to 2! As the priest said it was a marathon mass. I understand how you feel about the Catholic Church too so I know it was extra special that you went. I think the way the Priest administers the church has a lot to do with it. I've heard some bad stuff too, but my parish doesn't do the whole damnation, guilt, your not worthy bc you suck thing. That's why I like it. And I love the ritual too. It looked really pagan last night, esp with the "Easter" fire. hehe. I'm gonna ask about that - seemed an aweful lot like a Beltane fire to me. ; )
Don't feel bad about last night. I know you were upset. That's why we said we could go somewhere else. But I understand how you felt. Hopefully you can get your ID soon and not have to worry about these things so much. And thanks so much for my Fatburger!!!! I missed beef! Thanks for your support! |

:) there were a couple of things last night that were said that got that old damaged catholic in me squirming and i wasnt comfortable with it. i ignored it. you are a special person and deserve to have people who love you in your life... honestly a real friend will sit through three hours of stuff they arent interested in for each other thats just how it is. so yes you are VERY special. it was my pleasure to give you the gift of beef... i know that was special to you!!! teehee! thanks for being understanding about last night but i still feel bad cause i felt i brought the mood down and i saw you getting pissed at the waitress... hahahah jesus would have smacked the shit out of her!!!! hahaahahahhaaaa

Yeah, I can't believe in EVERYTHING they preach either, but they told me that was normal and that was perfectly acceptable. But I know how difficult it is to erase the scars from childhood. I don't think I'd have the strength to ever walk into another Kingdom Hall again, no matte how wonderful and different I was told they were now. Just too much baggage sometimes.
And that waitress was inconsistent and that's what was eating me. And kind of ditzy about it. She didn't communicate the issue well. That shit irritates me. But all is good. |

Congrats to Raven and Happy Easter to everyone!! May the Easter Bunny be prosperous to you! |

I have never been in a Catholic church EVER. It was very long but everyone seemed friendly and truly believed in the rites and faith. The woman next to me gave me her mass candle (Somehow Yasmin, Nisha and I were the only ones without a candle...lol) and I found that a nice friendly gesture. Raven was smiling from ear to ear and I loved that all of her hard work finally paid off.
I missed the fatburger but Quinns was a blast. I enjoyed enticing the band with my snaky performance....lol. Sorry the ID thing happened to you girl because it would not have been so bad if she did not say the workbadge was okay, make you walk all the way to the car, then tell you no. That was a little fucked up. We will throw you a "Glad you have your new ID" party. |
