Ok so it’s my turn to recount my tribal fest to everyone…. Wow where do I begin? Let’s start with Wednesday. Raven and I got into Oakland about 9 am ish. Made it to the rental car place. They wanted to give us an SUV!!!! We told them hell no not with gas prices like they are. Instead of the compact car we reserved we ended up with a dodge avenger* sweet fucking car I tell ya I want one* once we got on the road we figured we would give checking into the hotel a try… no go. So we go to the festival site and Raven settles in to take Shakra’s class*fucking amazing teachers and kick ass chickies* and I proceed to scope out the shopping. Then it was time to take Ariellah’s class. This woman never ceases to astound me. I learned some awesome new combos to work on and got lots of ideas for moves to drill and work on. The class ended and we spent some time figuring out what we were doing. Ariellah,Molly,Belladonna,Raven,Jen and I decided to do Thai food. Raven and I head back to our hotel and when we get there they gave us a dirty room. So we get moved to another room. We shower and head back to town and after looking for parking and crap we end up joining then finally. We had a lovely time talking and sharing stories and different things we are all going through. Raven and I leave get back to the hotel and get settled in for the night and when raven pulls back her sheets there is a HUGE spider in the bed. Oh. Hell. No! Raven goes to get another room cause I cant sleep knowing there is a huge spider in the room that we can’t find and kill. They place us in another room and we finally get some sleep.

Thursday: we get up around 6. Get on the road at 6:45 to pick up Dave and Inara from the airport. We run into traffic and it takes us till when they land for us to finally get there*should only be an hour trip* we got there at like 8:45, 2 hours later. We pick them up and we are told that our original room we were given would be clean by time we got back to town at 11 am. We come back to get the new room it’s STILL not clean and it is now 12. We all have a workshop at 1. After lots of aggravation we finally get into the room we wanted. Then, the door keys wont open the room. The lock is busted. So we got moved AGAIN! This time the 4 of us got separated into two rooms. We finally get settled in and Inara and I go to our Shakra workshop fucking amazing, kick ass, electrifying, informative, and exciting. We get back to the hotel and sleep.

Friday: we get up and get to the festival we all hang out and shop till Raven’s Fat chance workshop is done. We all go back to the hotel and get freshened up. We get ready to go and see the performances. Wow!!!! Lots of great ones my favs were Shakra, Martina, Ashara, im sure there were more but I cant think of them off the top of my head. We head to the after party and chill out for a while and hang with Tamima. Then we realize we need to be up early. So we leave get back to hotel and I get to bed at like almost 4 am. We get up and get ready to perform. It was sooooooooooooooo hot! Thankfully by Saturday it had cooled down. We did our performance and it went well… couple lil snags here and there but oh well…. It happens. We enjoyed lots of other performances and got our socks blown off by John Compton and the indigo!!!!! The after party was great we got to party hard with Shakra* I heart them* I just love Hillary, Na’la, and Browen! They inspire me to do more with my dance and really give it more life. I feel I do a pretty good job so far but I do need to do more… playing with them at the after party was soo much fun… reminds me of the fire circles I used to go to*sigh* they would be sooooooo much fun around a fire circle… perhaps starwood… hmmmm, Something to think about. We shall see. Saturday was nice and full of performances and greeting and networking. Dave fucking rocks cause he’s so patient*unless he’s hungry* and he watched our bags while we danced our asses off. The after party performances were to die for as well…. Friday night Zoë wowed us to beats antique playing live. Then Frederique gave us some of her ooooey gooooey goodness and robot funk. She’s soooooooo fucking cute I just love her… and SOOZ!!! What a radiant beautiful soul!!!! I love her sense of humor. We went back to the hotel at 2:30 am and got some sleep. Got up Sunday morning and decided to go back to the festival for any last min shopping we wanted to get done. Thankfully we got some deals on last min things. Ariellah caught up with me to say good-bye. She’s soo sweet and such a kindred spirit. I just can’t imagine a life without her friendship. She amazes me; her dancing is just like a bolt of lightning. Her smile is so warm. She is a truly genuine person. You couldn’t ask for anything more. We took off shortly after seeing Ariellah and mad our way to the airport. We got there with 2 hours till our flight left; we waited our 2 hours then boarded the flight home. We landed and Sean picked me up. Did some laundry when I got home and then Pete came to pick me up and he met me with a cute little rose with a teddy bear on it. He said he would have gotten me a real rose but then he decided against it because he said that his love for me would last longer than a rose that can never die…. AWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! He’s so thoughtful…. I can tell he missed me a lot… poor guy!
