ya we never have snow here.. and now we do. we even sold all our snow removal equipment so we have no way to get rid of it. the side streets are all ice. the thing i have noticed is how achey it makes me body feel. i think it is the way we tense up when we walk on ice. i feel sore as i have been exercising but i haven't been.
take care of yourself.. bundle up warm. |

Sprinkle cat litter on the ice for traction, Sprinkle ice heavily with salt to help it melt (rock salt is the best. No snow shovel a good broom will clear a lot. Just some things I know to be true from my years in snow country. Hugs!

Wow! They actually sell snow chains in Vegas? I feel ya, though. Seattle has been effectively shut down for the past 3 days and right now it's a blizzard outside. Stay warm!!

Wow!
Well here in the midwest let's just say we are use to the snow, cold, ice but that doesn't necessarily mean that I personally like it. We function as usual and companies never close down! The city keeps moving! LOL!! It is really interesting to hear people who have never had snow or ice before react. I guess since I've been her all my life it is just second nature to me. The cold weather affects your body so of course some people will be achy! Be safe. Kittie liter leaves a nasty mess on your sidewalks by your door, I suggest the salt is better.
