Imagine a line that mediates between the Earth and the Sky. Empathy can be understood to be the projection of one’s emotional state upon a space or object, or the vicarious experience of a situation through identification, understanding and the internalization of such feelings about the space or object. Empathy spans the quantitative and qualitative aspects of how our world is perceived and translated by the human psyche to create degrees of passionate and visceral response.
