Peace, Love and Hugs.

sorry to bring up an decidedly unglamorous subject y'all.. but what do you all think about the current state of things in the good ole us of a?

more or less, i'm interested in gauging everyone's sense of optimism.. or lack thereof.

I recently had a great conversation with an theologian academic friend.. in which we ruminated about the possibiliy of the pendulum swinging back towards the light soon.. and potentially continuing that way for awhile. long enough to put the fundamentalist right wing of this country to rest for good. or at least get them out of our political structure.

the scary thing for me: is that this sort of crap (psychologically violent takeover) has happened throughout history quite a few times.. and since humanity has a bad track record with making sound logical decisions.. it's seems to me like the pendulum could swing either way.

what do you think.. and what can we do..? do we have the right stuff.. or is it all just an unglorious fate that us barely evolved apes have created for ourselves? will humanity (namely americans) take the leap into logical progressive transformation. or fall prey to wickedness... ?

like i said, not a glamorous subject.. but an omnipresent subject nonetheless.
