Afra is an amazing teacher and a great friend. The depth of her knowledge is only matched by her willingness to share it with others. Without her drive to discover the truth and to teach it to others, to make workshops with world class teachers affordable, to help teachers get qualifications, to promote UK events (through editing Taqasim, her wonderful web site and her emailing), and to perform not only traditional MED but also amazing experimental dance - without all these things that she shares with and inspires in other dancers, the bellydance world would be a lesser place.

More people should know the immense contribution Afra has given to the UK Middle eastern dance scene.
She's a real gem, promoting and maintaining the highest of standards to this dance, tirelessly. She has so much experience and wealth of knowledge. She's not afraid to say things as they are and has a natural sense of justice.

A bold, dramatic , sensitive and deep dancer, she has a wicked, ironic sense of humour and a big heart. She pays attention to detail and glamour. Where would we be without you!!! Keep on going! ;D

Afra al kahira is well known name in UK as professional bellydancer for 25 yrs.... she is wonderful bellydancer and she were dancing since she was 4 yrs.. check her website
