Life is But a Dream
a dream
On the horizon, and so close, a rusted hulk shears the clouds with its lifeless, unblinking eyes. It rends the landscape, never ceasing, larger than imagination and just as unstoppable; without intent, relentless, pushing aside hills and mountains, forests; all the while, shaggy, prototypic cattle scatter around its unthinkable iron claws.Down amongst the herd stands a girl, dirty, dressed in homespun; in her thin arms, an undisturbed dog is curled; its ears long, like a hare's, as is its bushy tail. Their eyes are cast down, seeking no answer, yet lacking nothing.
Awaken.
Things I am grateful for....
Once again, it's time to visit some things I'm grateful for....Family. Music. New friends. Old friends. Witnessing courage. Rad food. Hand-written letters. Analog photographs. Paint. Patience. Sub-alpine lakes. Jeff Park. My body. My bike. Wee children. Elders. Needles n thread. Roughhousing. The river. The springs. Clean water. Clean air. New experiences. Familiar comforts. Folks willing to take a chance. Folks able to say no. Those capacities in myself. Being cared for. Caring for others.
There's some. Feel free to add your own.

get it settled
Yee-haw! I'm like, super stoked, because I live a charmed life. Just signed onto temple crew kitchen for BM, plus I may wind up able to tour a bit with some of the most fun musicians I know.Looks like the kitchen crew's gonna be me and my new buddy Tuk, as well as some folks I have yet to meet. We're gonna be out there for a month! Righteous. Radical self-reliance. I hope they're kind to me- I am a BM virgin still, after all. Seems to me that I never feel motivated to go to festivals and the like unless I'm working more than I'm playing. What's the deal with that?
And speaking of which,I may yet wind up at OCF- depending on the winds that blow around Bad Mitten. There may be a spot for me in Blue Moon stage camp. Guess we'll see.
Love you f'ever,
