That SMILE!!! Not only is she a fun sweetheart - Carol has an infectious smile. Carol has some surprisingly hot spice beneath all of that politeness and intelligence. She's also a wonderful listener and I truly believe that she's the one you want on your side, both generally speaking and if you're ever in crisis. That is because not only is this woman wise beyond her years, she also possesses a soothing calm as well. She inspires me in quite a few ways . . . Here's to you Carol! :)

Cancer Update
So the surgery was today and everything went really really well! Apparently they were able to do a lumpectomy- even thought the tumor was so small.

It's all about early detection ladies!!!!

This is what I know: Stage 1- radiation but no chemo (at this point- still waiting on the final pathology report).

And it was most likely due to hormone replacement therapy- not heredity, although I still plan on following up with my doc (who happens to be hers as well).

See, even as I type it over and over and I've been saying it out loud to people over and over and I say it in my head over and over I just can't seem to understand it. I don't feel it. Its nothing you can feel. Its nothing you can FEEL. Its not even a tangible lump. No lump. It just this picture. Just little teeny dots all over. Like someone spilled salt on the mammogram.
