The true origins of Halloween lie with the ancient Celtic tribes who lived in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Brittany. For the Celts, November 1st marked the beginning of a new year cycle and the coming of winter. The night before the new year, they celebrated the festival of Samhain, pronounced Sow-one, the Lord of the Dead. During this festival, Celts believed the souls of the dead returned to mingle with the living. On the eve of Samhain, a veil between the worlds parts, allowing communion w... read more

Last Saturday night after a quiet dinner together; Ricky got up, scraped his plate and then glanced out the window. Suddenly he whisper/shouted for me to 'come quick'. When I arrived at the window I looked & didn't miss a beat. I fairly flew to pick up my camera, paused briefly to peek at my 2 cats in their screen room(they seemed unaware-sleeping soundly) and headed back to the kitchen. Deciding that I couldn't get a good shot form that window I moved onto the porch. As I began taking pictur... read more

Faceted amethyst bead in a sterling silver setting with a coiled bezel. This delicate is much smaller than rings of similar style; the stone is just barely 1/2 inch long and sits at a slight angle to your finger. SIZE 8.5 This ring is crafted in the style of Eni Oken. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All of my jewelry is crafted with the best materials. All metals are sterling silver and gold filled. All gemstones are fine quality and genuine. If I don't know what the stone is-I say so. Though the price of precious metal has risen quite a lot in the past years-it is still quite affordable-why settle for silver filled, stainless steel or aluminum unless that is EXACTLY what you want. All of my items are crafted using NO solder or glue. Each piece is lovingly and securely crafted in such a way to not need those things!

In Greek mythology, AMPHITRITE is the goddess Queen of the Sea, wife of Lord Poseidon. Amphitrite spawned the sea's rich bounty, and in mosaic art the goddess usually rides beside her husband in a chariot - adorned in a multitude of glorious seashells. This striking bracelet is designed using fine silver, aquamarine, kyanite and freshwater pearls. It is dramatic and substantial, and no doubt would have pleased even Amphitrite herself! * Measures 7" (47cm) including toggle clasp (Convo for information if you'd like the length adjusted) * Largest shell is 1" in diameter * Matching necklace available. ~ NOTE ~ Please see my Profile at the right, for complete information on Customer Service and Shop Policies. Shipping within the USA is $3.50 Options: For US shipping Priority mail is $4.60 / Insurance $2.05 Thanks and enjoy your day! Jill jQjewelrydesigns Please heart me to watch for new items! This piece is the team EJA collaboration between the artisans of Gypsy Design Jewelry and Baxtershouse! The wire wrapped pieces of Wavy Ocean Jasper, with their copper browns lend themselves to be bound together with heavy copper wire. Other glass beads, and agate balance out the color...Fine silver makes appearances throughout the piece to add sparkle. The center of the necklace is a bead that resembles a jug...copper and silver water pours from it's spout. Hand made chain continues the piece to its finish of a copper self closure. Truly a one of a kind piece...

14mm rounds of Black Water Jasper are captured in simple cages and fancy coils. The necklace is 18" long and is crafted from several gauges of sterling silver. The elements on either side of the clasp are capped in Bali silver. This necklace is just fancy enough for a dressy party or it will look great with jeans.
