Today, like every other day, we wake up empty
Things are going really really well for me these days in my work life. I am having to turn down carpentry jobs on boats. Having the luxury to choose which jobs I want to do is wonderful.

I am currently finishing up replacing the beam shelf, frames, knees and whole living quarters in the foc'sle of a PT boat. The one I am working on is 728. It has been a big job and I have been pretty much left alone to do it as everyone else is off working on replacing the hull. So all the thinking and p... read more
okay so I know this isn't the smartest thing in the world but I was running again, while I had a couple drinks, and am home now, safe, but I think I sprained my ankle. They sailed up the coast from Mystic, CT, up to Nova Scotia. I joined them there for just the sail part over to England... read more
ermmm, quick change of plans. I got an opportunity to last night to leave tomorrow morning on the Amistad to sail over to Jolly ol England. I talked to my boss and he said it was okay to leave the week early. So off I go. Will be out of touch for about a month and then straight home to NY. (no, really, I need to go home then, stuff to do, I won't get sucked into sailing down to africa after, really truly I won't)
