My ramblings and giving my .02

compltetely traumatized

I have been reeling since the news of that MONSTER came out from the fuck head in Austria who locked up his daughter for 24 years and fathered 7 of her children.

I have never been so disturbed and completely freaked out by any news story other than this! This is worse than the Virginia Tech shootings in my .02 in some way because at least those people died, but the captives, who were this man's family, were stuck never to see the sun, to feel the wind, and the long list goes on!!!! Their lives was a slow, miserable, terrible death of their spirit and its so terrible, I can't even breath.

How in God's earth does this happen? Why does the human brain have such psycho tendencies? How can anyone explain this to me? How can a man do this? How can someone be so ill, yet exist "normally" in society? Where is "God"? I can't imagine and wouldn't want to try to understand why and how... but I am totally devastated.

I can't imagine any justice that would compare. This is so beyond me, I can't even believe it.

What kills me is that apparently the maximum time in prison that this man can face in Austria is only 15 years...nine less than how long he kept his daughter locked up. I suppose they may find other things to charge him with, but imagine that he may only go away for 15 years!

Disturbing.....
I was just thinking that there is probably others like him imprisoning another human being, children chained to beds, locked in cages, used as slave labor, etc. And this is just in America!!! I live in idealic Southern California and there have been horrific instances of torture within families, slavery, not to mention incest, rape, abuse of all forms, to all ages, male/female, oy vey.....

The best we can do is look out for each other, love thy neighbor, hold our loved ones close, think globally and act locally

at this point, i am not really surprised, as i don't rate "humans" as high as you.

where is "god"? their "god" would be just around the corner from his house, in the form of a beautiful christian church, probably. here on our side, there are somewhat similar stories going on - in which they are currently calling them "polygamists", who live and behave in similar manners, and they are actually "living inside the house of [their] god." in Texas, they have to perform DNA tests on hundreds of children to untangle the massive incest behavior. how that this Austrian deal so different from that?

if things like this happen in so-called "advanced, civilized cultures" like Austria and US, imagine what go on in developing nations like China, where you can buy justice by paying off authorities, as long as you can afford to. Mao wasn't innocent. we don't know anything about North Korea, do we? Africa? other parts of Asia? South America?

we just don't know and aren't aware. and when we become aware, it's "shocking" to us. that's all.

The wife didn't know?! That their 18 year old daughter was stuck in a basement, raped by her father, and bore 7 children?? HOW DID SHE NOT KNOW?

The "bright side" (irony recognized but not at all enjoyed)
.....is that there is no way this guy will do a full fifteen years, if you catch my meaning. I find it ironic that there still is some run-down sense of a code in prisons, but there's a lot of violent criminals who still love their mothers, wives and or children enough to remove an occasional specimen from the gene pool on general principle. Unfortunately, he was in the gene pool 7 children too long apparently. It's pretty sickening..... I'm the first to go dispassionate and point out that the motivations (feelings of helplessness, lack of control, fear, etc.) that underly this kind of sociopathic behavior are in all of us (and this case is no different), but in such small measures in "parts-per-million", so to speak, that we move past them thanks to a good family, or solid friends, or sheer determination, etc. But this guy is so high in 'concentration' to keep with the metaphor, that I confess that I am astounded.

Read the bottom of the link. The daughter was imprisoned in the cellar for 8 years, along with the 8yr and 18yr old sons. The rest of the children were led to believe their mother had abandoned them.

That is still incredibly horrible, but at least not as bad as imprisoning 8 people for a max of 24 years.

And how could it have been done? That is not hard to back trace. It probably started with a raping of the daughter. Then a series of lies to keep covering it up. Thus the birth of a monster.

wow that is so fascinating..... he has a veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy bad gene pool possibly, and he also spread that seed to 14 different children. who knows what kind of madness can ensure. should his off spring be under the watch of the government as they could too be prone to sociopathic behavior becuase their father is one? I hate that man with all of my heart! ANd I hate that humanity has so much shit in it.
