Someone Cares

December 13, 2008
There are a lot of people who roam the earth, some who make it a challenge to get up every day, some who just are wallpaper in the background....and then there is Glen.

How do you write about someone who is funny/intelligent/loving/caring/compassionate/and did I mention funny? The bastard is funnier than me and I respect and adore him to bits! When a man shows love for his friends and wife the way Glen does for his, all I can say is the world would be a better place if there were more of him.

Um, we just have to work on that living in freakin SoCal thing and he would just about be *perfect*.

Glen is one of the most well balanced, intelligent, and caring random Tribe Friends that I have never met.
His posts are invariably honest and to the point with compassion.
He also tells good stories.
For all I know, Glen is actually a chick.
Come to think of it...that would explain a lot!

Glen has a heart of gold! He is a very thoughtful friend and isn't afraid to say or do what's right-- even if it's not easy. He's fun to laugh with and is the kid on the playground who will invite you to jump right in the sandbox with him. Woot Glen!

There are two types of people in this world, the good and the bad. Glen is and has always been one of the good ones. He is a nice guy and one of the best friends a person could ask for. I'm so thankful he's my friend. They always say that nice guys finish last, but you know that's is what all girls want! ((hugs))

This is a man who loves his hoe, a man fond of sharing his sweet lust, a man whom the women adore and other men want to be. Lite in calories and easy to digest, he is the dessert ladies like best.

Glen is all about the funny, which makes him fun. Plus, he gave me a neat patch. I like getting stuff. Stuff is cool. Cool is fun. Hey! Glen = Fun... so, therefore: Cool + Fun = Glen. WOW! :D

All I have to say is I heart Glen. :)

I've liked this man from the moment I met him lo these many years ago. Now that I know him better, I love him a lot. He's got a heart of gold and an attitude that gives me hope for the world and the courage to face another day. OK, maybe that's a bit much (but just barely). I am very fortunate to have him as a friend and that is no exaggeration at all. Plus, he's a helluvalotta fun to be around.

Glen is thuper! He's a wonderful IM buddy. Looks out for his fellow man and woman.. There are not enough effusive words in the English language to pontificate about his thuper-dom-ness!

You are a Good Man, Glen!

about me
Lust is like Licking Honey from a Thorn. How do I explain who I am? I am just a guy... a man who believes that chivalry isn't dead, just severely wounded. A man who knows that loving his woman is a full time job with the greatest benefits package in the world. I believe that friends are friends through the bad times, so they have the right to enjoy the good times. Want me as a friend.. Pick up the damn phone, send the damn email. Friendship is not one sided. I enjoy the finer things in life. A beautiful woman, a good glass of scotch, a fine cigar, a steamed lobster and a star filled night. Do I love her? MORE THAN YOU KNOW!

Eccentricity is not, as dull people would have us believe, a form of madness. It is often a kind of innocent pride, and the man of genius and the aristocrat are frequently regarded as eccentrics because genius and aristocrat are entirely unafraid of and uninfluenced by the opinions and vagaries of the crowd. -- Edith Sitwell

Why the hamsters run at 3 am

It is just under a year since we purchased our house. Thanksgiving will be 1 year officially. When I lived at my old apartment, I was two blocks from the beach. I lived in an area of Long Beach called Belmont Shores. It is an affluent neighborhood with a breeze from the ocean that filled the air. I would walk Zeus every day, and feel calm. I would walk down to the ocean, or around the neighborhood with my camera and capture every wonder I could see. The fog rolling in over the palm ... read more

I mean Halloweenie

So, our very first Halloween in the new house was a success. I am glad I was a boy scout and believe in the whole “Be Prepared” thing. My neighbor told me: “If you get more than 40 people, I will be surprised” Well he had better be friggin surprised because at final count we had 120 people who got candy. MOST of them were little kids in costumes. Had about 10 teenagers who weren’t in costumes, and were just carrying plastic grocery bags (they didn’t get the cool ... read more

First Halloween in the new house. OMG the pressure. What kind of candy?

If you get the generic dumbdumbs you get egged, if you give out the UBER cool stuff they come back over and over again. No matter what you get, you have to get stuff that you will eat if there is any left over.. and then.. you better make sure you have enough because if you run out… DOOMED.

The world is coming to an end.
Or not… Happy soon to be Zombie Day!!!!

At least this got me through the day. New iphone app game.

Yesterday was rough, I left work early and we went over to the house to pay our condolences. I was given all the details of how Steve took his life. There was a struggle with a gun, and to make a point, after knocking her to the ground, he took the 44 caliber hollow point and put it through his heart while she watched. They couldn’t clean up all the mess, the carpet was still stained.

I couldn’t take it… too many flashba... read more

I just don’t understand.
My former neighbor just took his life. He and his wife lived in the house in front of ours for a decade. Nice enough guy.. had issues like everyone else.

They were having money problems.. he totaled his car last week… he decided he had had enough. Shot himself in the heart with a hollow point. I have never heard of someone shooting themselves in the heart before.. always in the head. He left his wife all alone.

When is it so bad that the only way out …... read more
