while walking today,
I saw some fruit
dropped, or left randomly.
3 tomatoes scattered over 2
maybe 3 blocks,
almost like bread crumbs
I followed them.
I really like them to eat
and the urge to reach down
and pick one up to munch
was there.
but no, I let them lie,
maybe for a bird, a squirrel, raccoon,
someone much hungrier than I.
there was also one really smashed-up
cucumber too.
