Particle Wavves

   Sun, May 18, 2008 - 12:15 PM
This poem was actually published in a rather obscure magazine and in turn represents my turn to science, not for answers, solutions,
or any sort of enlightenment, but much like religions, for laughs.

the lights float light upon the wind
i asked the sun to mention me to the moon
they are partners in the sky
and much closer than they appear

the moon became a friend
melted my hard hard heart
i was just funny that way
she cast a shadow that broke the rain

in the field and on the plain
all around flowers that smell the best
beyond the grumbling thunder
the flash of light can rest

the sun was used to nature's right
to belie the season's son
it counted with the bloom
lost foliage to the fall

and light continued feeling frisky
wafting through the dark
not everywhere or lost
it brings us home to the sea

upon the waves created by my friend the moon
she rolls me and folds me
i counter with a sail
i fly like a Matterhorn, high in the sky

in a crow's nest i spy the horizon's shore
home in the emptiness of gold
i feel old in my youth, young in my age
the sun and moon cuddle with stars

they seem so far, like lost begotten gains
i have gone too far too return
to old ways less plain
simple lights twinkle, as i grow wrinkles

there is never enough time
just the space to fill
with you, the moon, the sun and stars
parading in the moon mist

i am wet and crowded by the nature of your smile
the shower of loveliness of your cultivation
i thought to be a miner
and dig the jewels you possess

but the moon then reminded me
there is nature and nurture
leave the wind to be the wind
do not float away like a sun hiding in the night

it came to this and left me
like bubbles bursting in the air
there is no dis-appointment
only love is left that sends a messenger to me

finally the light wavves
good night, good morn
new day follows from the sleep
i awake and find my friend
