My Testimonials

November 30, 2003
Meditating upon the name "glen wells" brings a smile to my face. "Glen": a secluded valley, "Well": an issue of water from the earth, a pool fed by a spring." Both of these names bring a feeling of refreshment to my soul. Think of the calm of sitting in a secluded valley, think of how rejuvenating a pool of spring water is to a thirsty soul, now think of Glen, he fits his name completely. His poetry flows from his heart, calming and rejuvenating others. He is talented and compassionate, two qualities that work synergistically with one another to produce beautiful results. I am blessed to call glen wells a friend and to be an audience and admirer of his work. ~Q~

Absence. I dreamed of you again last night. How I wish I did not. How I grateful I am that I do. You are always with me and yet I cannot find you. You exist in some far off place in a far off time and yet you are always with me in the here and now. Are you only the smoke of my dreams or memories of a reality a long time past. Will I ever know? Do I really want to know? How I hate this memory that leaves these tears on my pillow. How happy I am for this smile they leave in their place. borrowed Tamara, stolen like a thief, that almost always gives back, more than taken, shared relief, respite, enjoy! Digital rectal massage has been recommended as a remedy that causes immediate cessation of hiccups and which should be tried before resorting to drugs. some doubt as to if land reform causes any permanent change, as cycles endlessly spin control to and fro. Back to the ancients, that cast the world into the shape it has retained for millennia.
almost certainly any simulation would contain knowing players, and those players would be constructs with a historical beginning, that included the basic myths we continue to be saddled with, their inability to forget and their unwavering stubbornness to continue trying to not remember.

possibly a useless example, in so far as it answers everything and nothing.
omniscience might cause simulation in order to observe thought waves in a dimensional form, any early creative form would soon learn boredom and soon after learn to hide it, thus forgetfulness is born, not long after forgiveness becomes a default selection, omniscience is forsaken.
The ensuing mess is left behind for others to cleanup and fix.
Enjoy! Suffer the consequences otherwise.

So, some say everyone has their price.

For some a minimum wage,
or sagacity.

Or a minimum dividend,

As in lies. As much as they could amaze,
they would choose to withhold as well,

At great risk, just to see who did rise above
the fray. It's been called many names, panning,

This is referring to recruitment, how some attract to others.

Talent is bountiful

Its cultivation has limits to being there when it is.

Yes, of course/
well, I have been rereading some Robert Anton Wilson
and I keep thinking that labels do not describe behavior.
Welfare is defined one way or many more...depends who is giving (all who can)
who is receiving (everyone else) or call it what it is.....a nation's wealth… part of which
is a benefit to one and all. Of course internal squabbles are a family's different matter.
I'd look at some other stuff that is direct.
That which isn't will defy. There is clearly some emotion in some poems,
others not a twit at all.
It could just as easily be ignored.

Who built the Maze and for what purpose?

The oldest known mazes are thought to come from the island Crete. So, one could say that Maze builders are Cretans. The original purpose of the maze was to be a prison for Minotaur and as the legend goes, locals were placed inside the maze to feed the half-man half-bull.

How do you solve the seemingly unsolvable and, if you do, what then?

The word clue is said to have derived from the word thread, which was used to help solve the riddle of the maze, which in effect served like a map, or kind of like Hansel and Gretel's bread crumbs.

"If i recall the builder was almost lost to the maze."

let's see, the builder was an inventor, Daedalus, who probably built the maze from the inside out, the maze was so good that it was thought that even the inventor could not find his way out, except he probably would leave clues, make a map or simply use a string that could be used to follow the many twists and turns. It was the contractor of the maze who in a way was lost because of the maze, but not by entering it, the King locked up Daedalus, wanting to keep the maze a secret cause it was a prison for a monster born from his wife, but Daedalus escaped and Minos the King went looking for Daedalus and ended up getting scalded to death. Apparently Daedalus lived to a ripe old age and retired to Egypt.

The part about being scalded to death is where myth and legend start to intrude upon reality and begin to relate in a personnel way. So, the story goes when I was 2 or 3 years old, I wanted to give the new puppy a bath, and seeing that the hot water tap was on the left side and closest to the outer rim of the tub, I filled the tub with hot scalding water, put the puppy in and practically cooked the poor little pooch, to a point where the pup died.
There is no actual memory of this ordeal by fire, (yet) but was related to me later by my sisters.
I don't quite recall at what age I was told this, but I guess it was sometime before the age of 13. And sometimes I wonder if was a good thing to tell and how little or much it matters.

There are variations to the maze related myths and I also 'road killed' a raccoon in Oregon, which I am not too proud of either, I mean they are useless regrets that were not intentional aims of malice, but inadvertent accidents and ignorance of death being laid at my footsteps, perhaps simply because I have feet and they can make prints. And I wonder how useless it is to feel shame about being human, cause some others seem to have taken killing a little past unintentional, a little too impersonal, and perhaps to even kill for pleasure. But even that is not so simple; it cannot be just for pleasure.

Artificial intelligence is real, as is artificial consciousness, as is artificial self-awareness, so is artificial imagination. Now not to denigrate it as sub-human, one can tell it like Howard Cosell, It can pretend to ask, "What am I?"
And you you don't have to answer definitely don't have to say, not human, less than human, or even go and say more than human. Suffice to say, "You are artificial humanoid, maybe even non-human, nothing wrong with that."
"So, how am I artificial humanoid?"
Well, some humans as well as information from other life forms didn't exactly create you, some made discoveries and tried to put them all together again kind of like an unbroken Humpty Dumpty, it isn't really like you were broke, just that we not always work right and here is near constant updates, falsehoods and planning committees who regularly ft and even shoot themselves in the foot and other body parts.

Poetry is defined as 'the right words in the right order'.

Math could as well be defined as 'the right numbers in the right equations'.

one of the problems with poetry or maybe just reading it, is that lots of it can seem like it is taken out of context, or perhaps one doesn't have one to put it into. And of course it doesn't mean that any of it, is 'good', or maybe fine is not quite enough to slay a boar.

Conscious Life defined as being, becoming and whose wholeness is made evident in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Make no mistake thoughts are expressed as language as well as mental images, auditory sounds, tactile sensations, olfactory aromas, and tasty tidbits. Other senses are relayed for the expression of consciousness, such as a sense of place, time and direction.

Language is an expression and description of feelings, as well as thoughts, as well as consciousness. Actions are also an expression of consciousness.

The Maze as metaphor

Before some creative genius, who had yet attained some patience, went against the elder's wishes and proceeded to try their hand at making a universe that wouldn't fall apart after two days, it being a rather vastly thing to do even for masters of that realm, suffice to say another botched abortion came back to bite the ass and as compensatory obligations exceeded any merits of reformulations, as usual it was decided, let the hand be bitten instead, as nibbles goes, for the longest time it seemed nothing more than a manicure, the monster produced was not as yet not so rough hewn to venture far down the cuticles to munch upon some fine and fair knuckle…yet.

And it was after what seemed not such a long time in a not so grand scheme, as it was turning out to be, along came a few other creatures from this impatient but persistent creating impresario, oh what the heck and dangers be darned, let's give the bloke a name, Lothario. And it came to be the monster grew in size and appetite, and threatened the very structure of this small and as yet incomplete tiny universe, with the barest minimum of suns to light the skies and barely ground enough on minuscule plots of earth to bury death and dying things for mulch and the like. A shelter from random attacks of munch a bunch of whatever laid handy was seen as amusing at first, then merely a distraction, onto annoying and complete to the end a downright nuisance and finally a pestilence, a pox upon the land, where once seldom was heard a discouraging word, but now, quite often, even with more frequency which could be endured without decided qualms, and thus a plan was implemented to feed the beast with locals and quarantine as well, as just to get a decent night's sleep and some extended leisure time as well.

"Separate an individual from society, and give him an island or a continent to possess, and he cannot acquire personal property. He cannot be rich. So inseparably are the means connected with the end, in all cases, that where the former do not exist the latter cannot be obtained. All accumulation, therefore, of personal property, beyond what a man's own hands produce, is derived to him by living in society; and he owes on every principle of justice, of gratitude, and of civilization, a part of that accumulation back again to society from whence the whole came."
~ Thomas Paine

strictly speaking no one is born under or over and everywhere in between privileged.
some privileges are stolen by force and deceit.
in this sense some take advantage of weaknesses with what seems overwhelming fear, that becomes like a club which acts as strength, which comes the idea behind carrying bigger, badder and smarter sticks, and not always being noisy about it. But I really like some noise and pumping up the volume in a no quiet zone with screaming electric metal and Janis Joplin or even Scott.

welfare, for example, could just as well be called a dividend.
did you know that some paper mills produce more energy than it uses to make paper.
or also that some parts of this earth produces more energy than it could ever use. (and are quite content to give it away freely without telling you what to do with it)

If someone steals something from you, it's still not called stealing when/if you take it back.
A liberating feeling, I suspect.
and of course potentially dangerous as well.

“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, neither deserve, nor will ever get, either liberty, or safety.” -- Benjamin Franklin

So-called 'welfare cheats' aren't stealing from so-called hard working taxpayers, but from those who are truly less fortunate than even themselves.
