We're in full goth season now, and as happy as I am with a cool job/career, great stray cat buddy, and lots of stuff to do in the Bay Area, I'd sure like to have a snugglebunny this year. :-> Taking apps. Beware I'm making 3 trips to Munich, Germany, between now and 12/5-6, if you wish to apply. They're short.

I'm making plans for next January's Alexander Valley/Russian River Valley wine crawl, gothic style. Anyone interested, please let me know. You can find out more info at www.wineroad.com

Today I received a box of old books from my parents. Mostly they're collections of stories though one is a collection (Vol 4) of Daniel Webster's works -- it is (c) 1857! The rest venture up to 1918. Old books! They are cool. My Dad bought 'em 25 years ago at a State Dept. rummage sale. Too cool.

Delirium played at Great American Music Hall. Excellent show. Great songwriting. Sounded excellent live. Wouldn't have played "After All" second - a little later after the crowd is warmed up, but that's my gripe, except for a very weak goth turnout. Surprising and disappointing.

about me
I'll admit it, I'm a law geek. I can discuss both prongs of the SLAPP statute and the litigation privilege all fucking night long.
I love good sarcasm, meat, red wine, and a medical-quality cookie ;-> I really enjoy the art of conversation - with how you say it as important as what you say. I love to use humor, especially the one-off situational remark. I like a girl with an air of mystery about her. I'm an INTP. Spock over Kirk, Maryann over Ginger, goth over industrial, and you over me. Here's something pretty strange: I can drink black coffee on an empty stomach all day long, but half a cup of tea w/o food makes me very nauseous. Also, ok, for the life of me, I cannot learn to waltz. I *know* how, but I get dizzy very easily, so I'm sticking to less spinning stuff, which is a shame because the waltz can be very romantic (I do make an exception for the Congress) I do love the festive/decadent atmosphere and wish we had 18th/19th c.-style gothic salons around here
