1. I won tickets to a private acoustic set with one of my favorite punk rock bands, Rise Against. That was awsome, there was probably 10 guests and the two guitar players and I got to hear "Swing Life Away" played live, just guitars, 4 feet away. The woman from the radio station offered us tickets to a festival show in Phoenix the next day (Social Distrotion, Rise Against, Pennywise, Interpol......). I didn't want to go because I had "floor duty" at my office the day after and an open house and I didn't want to be tired, from partying hard and driving home. My wife took the tickets and said to me that I needed to have some fun. Here is the revelation in all this. I have been feeling so much pressure from myself to work hard and succeed that i was forgetting to have some guilt free good times. Seriously, I'm 25. I need to stop being so god damn serious. I will get by fine, my work will proabaly be of a better quality because I have blown off some steam once in a While. So from now on fun is in the plan!! 2. I will begin getting up at 6Am every morning except on days off. I know, some of you are laughing at me because 6 is really not that early. For me it is. But at the end of most days I feel short on time and wish i'd had another hour or two. Well, here it is - extra time. I will have to go to bed earlier, but that is fine. rarely, does anything healthy or productive get done in my household after 10PM.
I was just reading through my first two entires and thinking "Why the fuck am I doing this?". While it's nice for me to be writing a journal again I'm questioning why I'm making it public to the whole fucking universe! I'm sure other's have this same line of thinking. The conclusion I've come to is that I must be an exhibitionist... why else would I want people to read my random written thoughts? Yes that means you! Don't worry It's an intelectual exhibitionism, I won't be posting pictures of me doing anything more than smiling.

I began running an ad on Craigslist last week for a property listed with my office. It is a cute place and I really do like it even though it is probably priced too high (but for the right person that won’t matter). It is very private, built in 39’ and has a fire place and original wood floors. I like old charming houses, if I could I would buy them all! Anyways, back to the story. I ran an ad on CL and was amazed at the response. People are really on there looking for property. I must have had 10 people call or email in the last week. I showed it to one woman and talked with others by email. Last night I get a phone call at 8:45 and the woman was surprised I answered the phone. We had a good chat and it turns out she is needing to invest some money into real estate in the next 45 days, in order to perform a 1031 exchange. Today I found her some houses and we met in person. I plan to find them a good place within the next two weeks. She wants to pay cash and close fast…'yeah! Made my day. Now I just have to produce…'..
I think that’s a fitting title to my first blog entry. It’s catchy at least. I have been reading articles recently about how major companies are beginning to cash in on the “cool factor” of blogs. They see it as a marketing opportunity to promote their products for essentially zero cost and if done well, help built street cred at the same time.

BTW - the fact that I am reading articles in the newspaper about blogs says that I may have missed the boat already on this whole online journal experience. Maybe I'm just another digital sheep in the online pasture. BAAAHHHHH!! Smart young people will see advertising as exactly that, advertising. An attempt to buy their support through marketing, which most likely is selling the sizzle but not the steak. Those same people however, may read someone’s web log and take their opinions to heart, an authentic person spilling their version of the truth. Corporate America lives to exploit opportunities like this. Warning ** Disclaimer Ahead. I will say it up front, Whatever I write is just for your (my) entertainment/education/amusement/ etc. If I happen to gain clients for my real estate business through this, it is a mere side effect of my writing. I will do my best to keep it real. Please drop me a line if you have comments on my ranting.
