"Raw food both tasty & affordable"

You gotta love the above Harrison Ford quote about making a return as Indiana Jones. As I am falling asleep tonight I plan on figuring out what are my levels of happiness/expectations for the fourth Film, attentively titled Indiana Jones and the Ravages of Time (perhaps this was a joke that was carried too far?), out in May 2008.

Dang this cynicism which makes one hesitate to think the more Indy the better. We need role models of integrity like Dr. Jones that can inspire use to be adults ... read more
The 20 lbs of bird and homemade stuffing pictured above (looks yummier when it’s not in the cooking bag) was all my own doing using my mother’s recipe the she got from her mother. This was my first Thanksgiving Dinner without help from mom. And guess what, the food was delicious! (The stuffing did need a wee bit more seasoning to be perfect… Hope to nail it next year.)

Wired Magazine has put forth a challenge to the best current sci-fi, fantasy, and horror writers to compose a six word story. Here are some favorites: Don't marry her. Buy a house. - Stephen R. Donaldson Kirby had never eaten toes before. - Kevin Smith The baby's blood type? Human, mostly. - Orson Scott Card Machine. Unexpectedly, I'd invented a time - Alan Moore Gown removed carelessly. Head, less so. - Joss Whed... read more
So I am rushing home after a development meeting/ margarita social with my girlfriend from work when I realize I am driving down Melrose, about to pass Golden Apple Comics. Something inexplicable compels me to pull over and go in. (Sure I normally want to stop by when I am in the area but this evening there is no resisting the impulse.) And what do I hear soon after I walk through the door?

about me
I am weird; people usually react like I am out of my element. When I go to places that interest me, air shows or comic book conventions, folks turn to me and ask "What are you doing here?" To this day I am not sure what the exact crucial oddity is in me. (Maybe it's the toga I'm wearing.)
Lonely kid as a kid; I’m the only child of a single-working Mom. She is terrific, always pulled me out of school early so we can go to the movies. I have loved film since I was 9-years-old when I found it to be great company while I was home alone cooking and cleaning. Watching all types of flicks helped me build a college level vocabulary by the time I was in fifth grade. At least that's what I told my teacher when my proficiency test results came back. My spelling ability on the other hand... Also was a Tom Boy. Playing with dolls paled in comparison with climbing trees and catching lizards. To this day I am lacking in the "girlie" skills. I have started accessorizing and hope to master braiding hair at some point. (That and to one day fly in a WWI Sophwith Camel which is basically a shoebox with wings. If you can fly a Sophwith Camel, you can fly anything!) I started flirting with acting in Junior High. I was in school plays, community theatre and a bit of commercial acting. Then I focused on getting my degree and rediscovering my first love - computers. Last year I had a bit part in a Discovery Channel Special and a don't-blink-or-you-will-miss-me few seconds on HBO's Entourage. Over the past three years, I got together with friends and colleagues to make a forty minute action drama based on my favorite video game heroine - Lara Croft. (See www.TearsoftheDragon.org for more on that ode to guerilla film-making.) My next role is the comic book character Paula Peril who is a cross between Nancy Drew and Indiana Jones www.atlantisstudios.net/paulaperil/ This summer I took intensive scene study workshop with the fabulous acting sage Larry Moss and then taught a crash course in film-making at the San Diego International Comic Con. Check out the Film School at www.comic-con.org/cci/cci_i...hool.shtml When I wasn't teaching at the event, I was in the small press area, booth S#11 with the prequel comic to my Lara Croft fan film (See a preview at www.tearsofthedragon.org/comic.html ) I also took my first trip to Dragon*Con in Atlanta where I took more Wonder Woman photos with the very talented Adam Hughes (Check out a few pics from our first shoot and his upcoming All Star Wonder Woman Comics in his interview at Newsarama forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php ). ** The Latest: Production has begun on my latest action/drama short film ( www.atlantisstudios.net/paulaperil/ ) and a Hollywood Glamour Makeover show with stylist Roger James (www.rogerganiajames.com). Recently started Aerial Art classes with an instructor from Cirque du Soleil and just took charge of my Neighborhood Emergency Response Team after completing C.E.R.T. training. Never a dull moment!
