Re: Privacy v. Cadre', Feed Store and Speed Shop Notes

...it took a Tribe mainstay, Sunnely, to rattle my brainpan and recall Mr. Mousavi has a storied legacy in the 1980's dealings which capped Reagan's own dismantling of democracy. This bit of objective fact checking confirmed Tribe's place in 'social media' as a better-than-average watchdog kennel. This is about Democracy--the fair election of the candidate listed on the ballot whom the majority of voters choose. Hate to sound cool to it all; it may well be supporting the rights of peoples ... read more

(....as she currently chooses to be inactive on Tribe..) something very poignant on a prominent discussion board, earlier today. Inevitably well-informed, yet not politically motivated by choice, she unsheathed her keyboarding fingers at some ignorant remarks. To quote:

Facebook turns out to be a place where saying nothing and posting pics of your family of origin still reigns. A month into bending to pressure from union peeps-and I'm feeling like a troll out there for simply posting daily news articles of note. 'Friending' old hot rodding connections from the past century is nice...easily staying in touch with IRL friends is handy....
I can find plenty of people to hash out issues like Universal Health with...I mean the dang thing IS set up to connect co... read more

A divisive Washington State legislative session has continued to eat my time and steel my resolve to stand with my direct care sisters and brothers. The proposed budgets all seriously gut the lowest paid employees paid by WA. fundage. Seems Tribe, as a whole, is not much more active than myself around here this winter.
I responded favorably to Krys-Heart's blog on renewal of the Tribe ethos...especially, for me, irreverence which is not to be found in a spacebook environment. Like many ... read more

Back when blogs were on paper and called "columns", I wrote..just enough..to supply a couple of left coast periodicals nice enough to let me rent storage on their mastheads. When 400 words a month was a diversion from caregiving, this was a great way to get comp'd pretty much anywhere I wanted to go. Now I am in a great period of self publishing which may last as long as 'ad' sensibilities allow. While I am willing to cash checks for the universal dollar a day standard, my pride is on the ... read more
