Defying Age....discrimination

   Mon, April 7, 2008 - 6:17 AM
As a member of the post-pension generation who will (contentedly, in my case...) work til the day we die, it is critical that small minds who discount the abilities of older workers and their skills and talents GET IT. Gently educated and voluntarily, would be preferred.........

Anyway, Chris Karamesines made it into the quick 8 Top Fuel field with a run of 251 mph in the eighth mile.......from a standing start...at a major drag racing meet in San Antonio over the weekend. Karamesines is, I remind folks......turning 80 this year.

.......and, I expect you have heard about "Mr. 100 at 100" by now......abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/local&id=6054160 - 52k

Wisdom with age?...
They always say that wisdom comes with age... i can agree partially.... I think that it is true until a certain age that everyone seems to start losing it.... then again.. aren't we all... lol...
80yrs old huh.... not bad for a racer... I'm not suprised though if the guy is completely deaf and a sleeper at the light by now. That's amazing that the guy is still devoted to racing.... then again.... why wouldn't you?... I mean if I was that old I wouldn't frankly care if I got killed during a run. I would consider it a good way to go and a live well lived...
