sorry it's been awhile things got hectic and still are for sure. the cool news is that many awesome and good things have happened for the project. few bad things happened to me but affect the project. one the lymphedema is in a bad cycle but we now know through mom and I's research that it flows in cycles with the tides. we are attempting to chart the cycles. this could be very rewarding for medicine in general. I realize i am not a genius but this is my life and i have learned from some of the best professors. the problem is that I keep getting finger and wrist dislocations. makes it hard to play music with severe dislocations. i reduce them myself or i'd be in the hospital every couple weeks. anyway, i am really working hard on lyrics. i was asking one particular person about them but they always want love songs and happy songs....i don't feel it so i don't write it. i was getting bummed but then Jason pulled me out of it. I write what I write at least I'm trying. they won't all be gems but if they mean something to me and make sense then screw the naysayers. i really gotta thank the people that have really helped me start pulling all this together: Jason Gutz (sorry, i put all the singing and lyric writing on you. thanks for all your years of support. anytime you need me i will try and be there even sick as i am man.) Jon Barrington (for giving me the hook up on equipment old school stuff and all the technical guitar advice....you are a guitar god! can't wait till ya come up and record. i am soooooooooo looking forward to those days.), Tony (for giving me enthusiasm even in the lowest of hours....god youth is great, lol they always feel anything can be overcome.) Mikey (for helping me along with jason figure out the details of internet transfers.) finally, thanks to all my friends and family, you keep me going. anyway, studio news.....the comp is almost complete. memory needs to go in and a video card to allow me to use the 27" tv as my monitor as well so that artists in the room can see whats going on. graphics won't be great but who cares. "The Core", as my comp is now known lol. will have full memory, 120 GB external Firewire drive (mac/ pc), Firewire/ Usb 2.0 card installed, DVD (dual layer write everythng drive installed), Magix Music Studio 2005 and Magix Video Suite, Cubase SE, Magix Midi Studio and soon the memory and video card will be installed. most likely next purchases are headphones and headphone distribution amp, Sennheiser Guitar mic and my Digitech GNX-3 guitar pedal board. need 3 black tweed guitar cables, 5 livewire cables and 4 patch cables and a regulated power supply for the VOtec processor. still need digital voice processor by antares a good vocal mic or two screen and mic stands. then some auralex then i'll make a collapsabile sound shield. tee hee singers can just crawl in the shower lol. hey it's an old time solution. oh and all electrics and the bass is hung on the wall. anyway, recording starts next month and also i'm working with some local bands so we shall see what happens here soon but, should be interesting. check out myspace.com site Dave. i'll put the link up later. peace out beaches. ~Dave "Gun"

well today was odd spent all day creating the project website and i like the look of it. i am waiting on approval of content from a few sources but over all it went fairly smooth. once i get approval then i can have people test it and let me know what they think if it's operational. thank god i took html courses. even with a builder i had to straighten out code. anyway the funny part is only a few people knew of the site yet their were 18 hits today? confusing....anyway, tommarow i'll try and finish her up. tonight or tommarow i may start recording. feel better having got the website built. don't know why just do. ~Dave
well started a tribe to allow others to see how things are progressing. i have decided that i am going to do this cause it allows all my friends who may not wish or be able to participate in musical ways to give their honest opinions, ideas, song storylines, sounds and instruments for soundscapes anything at all. I have been trying to get the help of any of my talented nearest and dearest friends and i think this is the next step to achieving what I am trying to do with my first full out album of my own design. I have worked on tons of songs, others albums and helped other friends with ideas or critiques....i hope it helped. this i want to be an organized but freeform album wth some of the people I admire the most. even allow myself a chance to work with some new people i've met that are amazing in their own right let alone my respect for them. ~Dave "Gun" so you all know soon i am getting a camcorde so videos will also be in the works i.e. studio work, goofing off, tracking, mixdown for now, anyway.
12/26/05 The day after christmas...well technically the 27th
Today went ok. I decided to start slowwww and work my way up. had a nice hearty bowl of cereal then watched serenity with the aide. it was damn fine kind of a chick flick meets a guy film action sci-fi. anyway, then i started getting crazy ideas in my head. M<ikey and i had discussed electronically bastardizing my casio sk-1 with a midi port. however, i went nuts and found circuit bending mmmmm like the casio sk-1 keytar pitch bending at its finest profused with electronics switches knobs and dials and cords..droollllllllll. the even more scientific the casio sk-1 with glitchdesk...what is glitchdesk? you ask? i have no damn idea but holy hell it looks fun!!!!!!!!!! like a patchbay metephor of my casio's intestines. the motherload is the monster casio controller over the rom chip in the old speak and math-spell. i got some crazy loops to take bits and pieces. by then i had a tanker as an iv bag of 4 shot egg nog latte, wooooooooooo. now i start mulling over building a website to help the flow of info cause i get 10 mb free. then start seeing what tony and i do on yahoo conference. add to that now i am running over indie bands and having a place to put the music out there. then, i pulled the plug and shifted gears and now i am just researching the web music stuff but decided the web site is free and i'll do it when i can get my old html programming in my head. i found myself in a great place not worried about the big picture only a small window. plus this is so much fun and keeps my mind off the paperwork and pt, meds, health, eating, nurses, stresses in my day to day. even if i don't pick-up a pencil to tap a beat i feel calm. melodies running through my head beats to programmed. how do i work all these buttons alone dear lord!!!!!!!!! so anyway camcorder is ordered and will be here 30th to the 4th sometime. phase 1 almost complete. mini mikey stop humping "the laserrrr"! "you know out there we all have minatures.. Mines a bulldog. ok blood sugar low need food and meds and sleep. tommarow i will contemplate writing or building or both. this reminds me of the first time you go to kiss a girl as your moving in and never know if your accepted or rejected but your accepted that feeling of elation...thats how this project feels to me. no idea where it's going but can't wait for the experience and opportunities to come! ~Gun
