<div>So once again it's been a while since I have written in this blog. I hadn't been coming here much but am starting to get back over here more. Lets see, a lot has happened since my last blog post. I'm married to a great guy. I finally found a good one and we are getting ready to move here in a month or so to Nashville, TN. Not only the country music capital but also where my hubby is driving out of now. I had our beautiful baby girl. She was born on July 19,2007 at 11:07 pm ct. She is our angel and seeing as we are a trucking family she even at 17 days has her own handle. We're presently in Oklahoma as the company my husband is driving for won't allow anyone under 18 in the truck and also cause he has family here. Well I thought that being closer to his family would be a good thing seeing as he would be on the road and I would be home alone with the baby. Well let me tell you, I can't wait to get moved. His family is horrid. They are surrounded by drama and like to make sure that everyone who is involved with them has lots of drama. I can't stand it. When we move there is no way that I will look back. I mean I know that we might be coming back around holidays so that his parents can see the baby but we don't have to stay too long. well check out the tribe that I just started and join up if you want. http://tribes.tribe.net/americasbackbone is the tribe. i'll post more soon. Babies calling so I have to run.

Hugs to all</div>

<div>i found a guy who calls me beautiful instead of hot,
who calls me back when i hang up on him,
who will stay awake just to watch me sleep.
ive found the boy who kisses my forhead,
who wants to show me off to the world
when im in my sweats,
who holds my hand in front of his friends,
who thinks im just as pretty without makeup on.
he is constantly reminding me
of how much he cares about me
and how lucky he is to have me

and i love how he turns to his friends and says, "...that's her."</div>

I am very much a people watcher. I enjoy observing people in different situations and watching how they act. You'd be surprised what you learn. Going bar hopping and staying sober affords you the opportunity to witness people at their best and their worst. First thing I'm gonna do is bash on the men (sorry guys). No man is God's gift to women; alcohol does not make you sexier, more articulate, or a better dancer; and persistence is not always a virtue (well, it is in the bleeding heart tear-jerker chick flicks where everyone roots for the underdog to get the girl, but not at the club). As I am standing there with my friends, I see them. Here they come. There they go. Dudes on the prowl. Long-haired, hairy-backed cavemen with clubs and knee-length leopard print tank tops minus one arm strap. I turn to observe two very pretty women at the bar, surrounded by six guys. Covered in a fog of drunken breath and cigarette smoke, they try their best to outdo one another, vying to club this hot chick, throw her over shoulder and run out screaming "me got woman". With a raise of the hand and a turn to the bar, the men are quickly shunned and politely asked to, without words, "fuck off". Do not fret gentlemen, a few more drinks and perhaps they will be ready for you. Remember, you are God's gift to women and persistence is the key. As the entourage leaves, they quickly move back into hunt mode, scanning the bar, moving slow and methodically like a tiger in the grassy plains of Africa eyeing a helpless gazelle. Within minutes the two women at the bar are approached again....different guys this time. Exact same show.....I'm bored....I know how this show is gonna end. I direct my attention to the dancefloor. As we are dancing, I hear the sound of glass breaking to my right. I look over and there are two guys shoving each other with a cute little Asian girl in a white dress, now soaked in beer, standing between them. Quickly the bouncers grab them and they are gone. Nothing left but a broken Bud bottle on the floor and a pissed off bouncer with a mop. I felt compelled to scan the bar for any woman that was observing the bar as I was and ask her "Is this what guys are really like?" But I didn't need to.

OK, on to the girls. Ladies...you have to remember that, just like the men, you are not God's gift to anyone either. Just because you got a new outfit and spent an extra hour doing your hair and putting on your fake face does not give you the right to be a bitch. Here's a quick lesson from my class of "How to be a lady 101": 1. Smile. It doesn't hurt, it is free, and it almost always has positive effects. 2. Be polite. If a guy is talking to you and you are not interested, then just tell him, "No thank you, I'm not interested." It's not difficult. 3. Realize that you are not perfect. Regardless of how hot you think you are, there will always be someone out there that doesn't think so.....always. 4. Don't be a slut. As we all know, women have the pussy, so they make the rules....it's true. It is women's fault that guys are the way they are. Have some pride in yourself (if you are that way). Noone wants a bar slut (for more than one night anyway). **editorial comment: my apologies for rule number 4. Remember, love what you have and appreciate what you've got, the grass is not always greener!**

Bottom line, everone is fake. Men and women all put on a show in one way or another, regardless of their intent. Imagine a world where everyone is real. A world where people say, "This is how I am and this is what I like, fuckin take it or leave it." Anything that begins with falseness will eventually end in disaster, be it a friendship, relationship, job, or whatever. Be yourself, that is the only way you will ever find true happiness.

thanks for reading this and letting me vent. please comment as i'd like to know what other people think about it.

Sisters

<div>Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006

A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day,
drinking iced tea and visiting with her Mother. As
they talked about life, about marriage, about the
responsibilities of life and the obligations of
adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her
glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance
upon her daughter.

"Don't forget your Sisters," she advised, swirling the
tea leaves
to the bottom of her glass. "They'll be more
important as you get older. No matter how much you
love your husband, no matter how much you love
the children you may have, you are still going to need
Sisters. Remember to go places with them now and then;
do things with them.

"Remember that 'Sisters' means ALL the women... your
girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women
relatives too.

"You'll need other women. Women always do."

'What a funny piece of advice!' the young woman
thought. 'Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I
just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married
woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely my husband
and the family we may start will be all I need to make
my life worthwhile!'

But she listened to her Mother. She kept contact with
her Sisters and made more women friends each year. As
the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually
came to understand that her Mom really knew what
she was talking about. As time and nature work their
changes and their mysteries upon a woman, Sisters are
the mainstays of her life.

After years of living in this world, here
is what I've
learned:

 THIS SAYS IT ALL:

 Time passes.

 Life happens.

 Distance separates.

 Children grow up.

 Jobs come and go.

 Love waxes and wanes.

Men don't do what they're supposed to do.

 Hearts break.

 Parents die.

 Colleagues forget favors.

 Careers end.

 BUT.........

Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how
many miles are between you.

A girl friend is never farther away than needing her
can reach.

When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you
have to walk it by yourself, the women in your
life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on,
praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your
behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's
end.

Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk
beside you.

Or come in and carry you out.

Girlfriends, daughters,
granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters,
sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties,
nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our
life!

The world wouldn't be the same without women, and
neither would I.

When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had
no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay
ahead.

Nor did we know how much we would need each other.

Every day, we need each other still.</div>
