HapytamyNYC is a freelance writer, grass roots activist/politician, eternal optimist and stand up comic. She is half Native American and half Irish and shares a love for both cultures. She is currently writing her first fiction novel titled, "Apache Tears", Tales of The Assimilated Native, due out summer 2009.

Painfully shy as a child, HapytamyNYC rarely spoke unless the topic was about politcs, the Dodgers or when performing in a class play. She spoke up long enough to start her infamous "Anti-Barry Goldwater" Campaign in the second grade, her "Anti-NAFTA" campaign in college and quietly participated in the "Anti-Gun Game" protest. After all, she is half Apache.

In fourth grade, she often wrote to the President to report which Senators had "bad attendance" during the important voting sessions. She loved watching the voting sessions on public television and would often skip playing softball to "take attendance." In 2004, she would be appointed to her first political office as the Asst. Democrat Registrar for her town and municipality.

When she reached sixth grade she decided she wanted to tell jokes for a living. She created "Joke Night with Tammy" and invited neighbors to visit her mother's living room to hear her perform. When she decided to self-promote she stapled posters to telephone poles and offered "Free Beer and Pizza - BYOBP (bring your own beer and pizza)! Fortunately, her mother was a "party gal" and didn't mind the 150 neighbors that showed up on her lawn every Friday night during the winters of the late 1970's. She is currently performing stand up comedy on the East Coast and collaborating with other new club stand up comics for the upcoming comedy sketch show "Brooklyn Comedy House".

Overcoming childhood shyness in her early twenties she dived into a career as a dynamic makeup artist, model and B movie actress. Later, she took on the world of public speaking and business management for cosmetic and fashion companies before choosing writing as a career.

HapytamyNYC is passionate about writing, volunteerism and the pursuit of happiness. She lives in New York City and hopes to own a pet, one day.
