Why I Identify As Polyamorous

I love deeply - and I love to love.
I love to be able to give the gift of love to the world around me...and sometimes I love to receive it too.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Polyamory is the practice or lifestyle of being open to having more than one loving, intimate relationship at a time, with the full knowledge and consent of all partners involved. Persons who consider themselves open to or emotionally suited for such relationships may define themselves as polyamorous. Polyamory means 'loving more than one'. This love may be sexual, emotional, spiritual, or any combination thereof, according to the desires and agreements of the individuals involved.

I Won't Quit

Posted by a fellow Triber named Natasha. I fell in love with this and decided to add it to my page:

When life lays you low, as it sometimes will, when the road your trudging seems all uphill...
When the funds are low, but the debts are high, when you want to smile but you have to sigh.... when care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must...but don't you quit!!!
Life is queer, with it's twists and turns, as every one of us sometimes learns, and many a challenger has turned about, when he might have won had he stuck it out. but he learned too late, as the night came down...how close he was to the golden crown.....
So...dont give up though the pace seems slow, you may succeed with another blow.....
and stick to the fight when your hardest hit.... It's when things seem worst...that YOU MUSN'T QUIT!!!!

Love After Love

Thank you Wendy, for bringing this to my attention.
Written by Nobel laureate Derek Walcott.

Love After Love

The time will come, when,
with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door,
in your own mirror.
And each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say, "Sit here, Eat. Relax."
You will love again this stranger who is your Self.
Give wine. Give bread.
Give back your heart,
to itself,
to this stranger who has loved you
all your life,
whom you ignored for another,
but who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs and the desperate notes.
Peel your self-image from the mirror.
Sit. Here. Now. Feast on your life.
Fall in love again with your Self and with all of life.

Realistic Living

Credit goes to ReachOut for this fine passage. It was sent to her via email.

As we grow up,
we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down
probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once,
and it's harder every time.
You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.
You'll fight with your best friend.
You'll blame a new love for things an old one did.
You'll cry because time is passing too fast,
and you'll eventually lose someone you love.
So... take too many pictures, laugh too much,
and love like you've never been hurt
because every sixty seconds you spend upset
is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.
Don't be afraid that your life will end...
be afraid that it will never begin.

My Life in Words and Pictures

Tonight I did a most unusual thing. While eating dinner at CJ's, I offered advice to two people I didn't know. They sat down at the table next to mine and proceeded to discuss how they might best go about getting a divorce. They talked about the possibility of mediation, and of lawyers, and of how to best divide the debt. They also talked of how to hide it from the children until it was time to reveal their plans. They were both so very confused by the whole thing. Never before have I felt th... read more

...why did you have to go and make another movie? Wasn't The Lady in the Water supposed to be your swan song? Hadn't the lack of ticket sales killed your career?

What follows is a brief rundown of my opinions of each of M.Night's mentionable movies. No, I'm not including that awful Rosie O'Donnell flick...

Sixth Sense - Loved it...watched it a half dozen times.

Unbreakable - my favorite. Love it so much I own a copy.

Signs - I had such high hopes for this. Wish I could get the 10... read more
