Meeting Harold was great! He seems unassuming, but if you pay attention, he really comes out with some stuff.

about me
I enjoy surfing, yoga, volunteering at KCRW, collecting music, art and...and Bettie Page. I'm a big fan of pin-up art. I skateboard around town and ride my bike when I can to limit driving my car. We gotta reduce traffic and clean up the air somehow. Too bad L.A. doesn't good public transportation. I'd love to not need a car. Lately, I've been taking tons of pictures thanks to cheap digital technology. I love my camera. I also enjoy the occasional drink or drinks at some local bars. And, amazingingly, I can walk into quite a few of them and my drink arrives without my having to order it. That's cool, right? Or, it is scary? I'm a fairly easy going person and I love to meet new people. I'm not offended by much and I have a big heart or so I'm told.
As much as I enjoy computers, I'm so glad I'm not working in IT anymore. I love music and for the last few years I've been working in music in one way or another. It's much better working doing something you love to do or at the very least being around something you love.

I hope Bettie makes it out of coma, but it doesn't sound good.
Pinup Bettie Page hospitalized after heart attack
By JAMES BELTRAN
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Bettie Page, a 1950s pinup known for her raven-haired bangs and saucy come-hither looks, was hospitalized in intensive care after suffering a heart attack, her agent said Friday.
"She's critically ill," Mark Roesler of the Curtis Management Group told The Associated Press.
He said the 85-year-old had the heart attack Tuesday and...

I wouldn't be surprised if many of you don't know the name Earl Palmer. But, I'm 100% positive you've heard him play. He is widely considered to be the inventor of rock and roll drumming. His influence in modern popular music cannot be fully measured. He was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. www.rockhall.com/inductee/earl-palmer It's not an exaggeration to say he played with everybody.
There was a time I didn't know his name, but I got to know who ...

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There is also a negative side."
- Hunter S Thompson
Gotta love Hunter.

It's that time of year again for many of us. Time to shop, shop, shop. More stuff, stuff, stuff. Things, things, things. I really have a problem with this. I came across this fellow, Reverend Billy and his Church of Stop Shopping. Cool idea. And, he's got a documentary coming out.
What will be you giving this holiday season to friends and family? Will you be going into debt buying gifts?
"Statement of Belief :: Reverend Billy and the Stop Shopping Gospel Choir believe that Con...

It's so important that everything that celebrities do and every move they make is considered newsworthy. Sometimes celebrity happenings generate "breaking news". Thank goodness for all our news outlets and bright journalists reporting all the important stuff. It's hard to stay on top of what's going on in the world as it is. I mean wars and genocide are stories we need to know about, but we can't forget about Britney and Keifer's shortcomings. Nothing like being well rounded in current e...
