The softest lips I've ever kissed! And when You look into those eyes, Oh the fire that resides in that soul.
MMMMMMMMMM!

Look at her photos, and you will see that she is beautiful. Read her writing, and you will learn that she is fiercely intelligent and bursting with passion. Spend time with her, and you will experience how she can make you smile.

Because I have seen, learned, and experienced these things, I cannot help but like her.

Because I know her, I cannot help but love her.

What can I say, the harpy's been known to keep me sane and call me on my bs.

And an exceptional impromptu midnight, midweek drinking partner.

QotH has been there for me, for a shoulder to cry upon and lean upon. Her words are comforting when I need them to be and her experience is beyond her age. I like having her as a friend - one who knows when to answer and when to just listen. I appreciate her. :-)

Oh Harpy queen, Oh harpy queen
You are so tasty and yet so mean.
Do I look gaunt? Do I look lean?
Do I look like I'd eat a vegetable or bean?
Your profile photos, you think they're art?
I look at them and they make me fart.
I am a TROLL! I am no sinner.
TROLLS ARE TROLLS and you are DINNER!

:P

TROLL!

Queen of the Harpies... When I have fallen down she was there to help me up. Not always giving me the answers I wanted. More along the lines of giving me the answers that I needed. She has helped me expand my mind and soul/ helped me to open up to possibilities. She is a dear friend and confidant.

If you mix a little imp with a dash of angel you get the Harpy Queen.

A true and beautiful soul who loves with all her heart in everything she does.

The skinny on friend requests

I know it's not short, but my list contains only people I've met in person -- and not just in passing -- or with whom I have one hell of a good rapport online. Making friends the latter way is a rare circumstance. You are forewarned.

Quotes of the "Whenever"

"Pardonnez a mes levres. Elles trouvent du plaisirs dans des endroits mysterieux." -- "A Good Year"

"Irish girl: If you're not going to lick me, fuck me or buy me a beer then go away." -- St. Patty's Day T-shirt

Harpy (from OED online)

1. Gr. and Lat. Mythol. A fabulous monster, rapacious and filthy, having a woman's face and body and a bird's wings and claws, and supposed to act as a minister of divine vengeance.

Officially mentally unhinged

The elder is now expecting a child with his longtime girlfriend.

The younger is now engaged to his girlfriend of going on two years.

I would shout at the heavens, what the fuck, if it weren't for my own pending domestic bliss.

Still, admittedly, the craters from both admissions are still smoldering.

Missing my boys.

We went to Easy Street for lunch again today. Ever since the first time I took Joey there more than three years ago, it has been a staple in our diet. Harley's now too. Joey described it as our own drugstore counter, that place where we know the menues without opening them (though we always do), take note of changes in wall decor and, while we're still working our ways up to knowing the waitstaff's names, we at least get those grins of familiarity and banter that comes only with recognition.

(It's also worth mentioning that when I was really little growing up in West Seattle, the site of Easy Street Records, at least the record-store half, actually WAS an apothecary, complete with a mortar-and-pestle sign above the door.)

Today, Harley noted how one of our waitresses may have gotten work done on one of her sleeves. I noted how another has gone from her usual platinum blonde to a nice burgundy on black.

When Harley suggested our next trip to the Junction include a different venue. Try to sample around a bit. But it's hard to imagine a sneak-away lunch anywhere else, even if we are looking at the menu more in the hopes of having overlooked something, anything, that would deviate from the norm. (One can only order the Mama Cass so many times.) It's comfort food in the best possible way.

Alas, today we learned something we didn't know about our Easy Street home until now. When we first started making it a haunt, our favorite waiter was John. Flamboyant and brash, the first time he seated us he smacked Joey on the ass. It was a moment of precedent-setting brilliance. We hadn't seen John in a really long time, just figured he'd moved on.

Not so much the case, it seems. On our way out today, I noticed a white flyer next to the door, announcing a memorial for John this month at Alki. Seems he passed away last year. Like many of his faithful customers around West Seattle (and he did have quite a few), we will miss him, too.

Officially mentally unhinged (abridged)

When you say you're going to give us Bach on Halloween, you better damn well be giving us the Toccata and Fugue in D MINOR on organ. The Fugue has no business being played in D major, and on piano no less! It was downright flouncy. EWWWWWWWWW!

That's no treat, just a dirty, rotten trick.

Curse you!!
