Practice of Ahimsa (non-injury) develops love. Ahimsa is another name for truth or love. Ahimsa is universal love. It is pure love. It is divine Prem. Where there is love, there you will find Ahimsa. Where there is Ahimsa, there you will find love and selfless service. They all go together. The one message of all saints and prophets of all times and climes, is the message of love, of Ahimsa, of selfless service. By Sally Kempton Last summer—as mars hovered close to the earth, power blackouts darkened the Northeast, and car bombers wreaked havoc in Baghdad—everyone I met was talking about how intense their lives were becoming. There seemed to be too much of everything: arguments, explosive feelings, weird dreams, and intrusive thoughts. I received scores of e-mail messages about how ... read more

This is an article that ran in Yoga Journal...It's another very powerful technique to keep one in the center... **Learn to surf your emotional seas and you'll never be thrown off balance.** There it was, that nagging bright yellow post-it note: "Call Sam." Sam was my former landlord, and he owed me a rental deposit, a decent amount of money I could put toward a mortgage payment. It had been months since I moved out, but I hadn't called, partly because Sam g... read more

~~ ** ~~ ** So this is the week of Valentine's Day, yes? Then it would be very appropriate for us to take a look at what Conversations with God has to say about love and relationships. Most people, God said to me, enter into relationships for the wrong reason. The purpose of relationship is for us to create a context within which we might announce and declare, express and f... read more

HAVA ~ thank you for being the beautiful reflection and reminder that we are here to learn from each other. by choice or not, in your experience at this moment; to be courageous in your vulnerability has been an inspiration for me to step fully into everything i am. it is so important for us really acknowledge the greatness as well as the weakness within ourselves so we can cleary experience the radiance... the translucence of light in each other. this place where no words are needed to express forgiveness, love and the thousands of beautiful things we see in one another. so if i may say to you, hava & to those who are reading this now ~ through it all we stand together even when it seems we stand alone. it is that aloneness which allows us to see and be who we truly are... hence when we open our eyes or reawaken, we begin to see each other once again... love to you my goddess sister!

HAVA is a true beauty!!! She is my girl,my wonderful sister,..cuts through all my crap whenever needed, but mostly loves me unconditional, she touches anyone that comes in contact with her,she can't help it...you just "rise"
in love!! She totally gives herself to life inside of her gracious conciousness, and when she gets knocked down..she rises with such dignity and grace, for nothing stands in her way towards awakening!!! She doesn't take life too serious, she simply lives to the fullest while she wiggles her cute boody, and plays her wonderful " tunes" ..they are heard, felt and remembered!!! HEY SEXY MAMA...!!!! I Love Ya ...more then you know!!! Your Dutchess..S. March 12, 2005

Hava Pie: 5 cups of beauty, 3 scoops of generosity, 6 heaping tablespoons of laughter, a generous pinch of naughtiness. Mix tenderly and bake warmly with lots of love. Savor soulfully. My favorite dessert for almost a decade.
