Sadly, the fabulous Starchy is moving on to greener pastures. Well the grass may not be all that lovely where he's moving, but the lass he is moving in with certainly is -- by which I mean she's lovely, not green.

All this of course means that we are looking for a new housemate. The writeup is below and linked here: icanhaz.com/riverton You can of course pass this on to friends of yours that may be interested in or add it to small mailing lists of people you know -- just use the link above or copy/paste to an email. Remember all the predictions about it being a dusty year? Well da playa is living up the hype. They've been up there since Sat and there have been major whiteouts both days. Good goggles without vents are obviously a must -- both N & S suggested getting ski or motorcross goggles rather than cheap-ass raver goggles. Also you'll need something to stop your lungs from filling up completely with playa. If you have respirator masks bring them. N luckily thought to bring hers and supposedly has been using it pretty much non-stop. Slim on the other hand doesn't have a respirator and his "lungs cry do not want!" YOU HAVE BEEN SUFFICIENTLY WARNED
So like last year, I've decided last minute that I'm going to the big blinky dusty campout they call Burning Man. I've got my ticket and my packing is easy (i'm a pro at playa-packing it now), but I need a ride.

I'd like to head up Tues Night (so I can work that day), but if the right ride presents itself, I may be open to heading up that morning ...or hell I might be game for the whole damn week. If you have space, or know of someone who does let me know.
<strike>The transmission of their car broke down badly last night in Auburn, on the way to the Virginia City Camal Races. They are planning on renting a car and going on to the races today but they'd rather not pay the absorbent fees to one way back to SF.

Thus, they could really use a pickup Sun evening for 4people and camping gear from Auburn. Please contact me by email or phone if you can do this or have a large enough vehicle to offer (as I can drive to get them if I had a vehicle).</strike> Taken care of thanks!
