Hi there. I have a room open in my West Oakland house for February 1st. For those of you not completely familiar with the neighborhood: It's one that takes a certain amount a self sufficiency and integrity to get by in. That being said, more about the house: A cute small 2 bedroom home with a lovely covered back deck and huge yard. Tastefully painted in a color scheme reminiscent of Easter. House comes complete with two 6 month old kitties, Millie and Filbert. Conveniently located near Market and West Grand, right around the corner from the Otherworld. My ideal roommate is someone with a busy life like myself, financially stable, CLEAN and RAVERIFFIC or uh, PUNKALICIOUS or both. (preferably a female) and looking to stay a year or more. The room is 12x12 with a good size closet, 3 windows, plenty of room for a queen sized bed, desk and dresser. There's storage underneath the house for camping/burning-man equipment and such. Rent is $600 per month plus utilities. Total move in cost is $1,500 this includes a $300 sec deposit. So, I got a two bedroom house in West Oakland. Yay! There's a stoop for drinkin 40s, a back yard for grillin' and a covered gimungous back deck for two turntables and a microphone;0) It's on 21st near Market. I move in on the 27th. Fuck, I'm gonna need some stuff, meh... This is gonna be fun. It's a blank slate, no landscaping, that's all up to me, yay;0) Never have I had a place that was really truely my pad till now and it's gonna kick ass! Plus, I realized most of my friends live in the eastbay anyways.... They never even called my references, it was almoast too easy.... Gonna need a roomate but I'm gonna have to be picky about that.... WOOFRICKINHOO

I am back in the bay.... I couln't bear the thought of missing out on a Nor Cal summer. Nor could I sleep in a strange bed another night. I'm going to school in the fall, and Europe for 8 weeks in the winter. I still have the same plan as before, but in a place I can easily call home. I look forward to seeing you all bit by bit as the summer months wear on. And thanks to all those who made the campout this weekend a blast! Besitos!

Could have done without te terrorizing boat ride IN to them though. Seriously going through white rapids under one of the largest falls in the world, this was no maid of the mist like in niagra, this was a terrorizing ride of doom where you get completely fucking soaked and rocked this way and that, then they tell you look up, look up at what? GAZILLION GALLONS OF WATER SPLASHING IN MY FACE then they try to sell you a dvd of the whole ordeal; which last all of twelve minutes someone at the hostal said they saw us go in from the other side and from way up all they could hear was screams of terror, lol seeing the falls from Brasil was the best part, you just cannot fathom how large they are untill you see them from that side, and rainbows, yay rainbows!

I had a real fucking blast last night! The day started with walking around the öld city¨ photographing urban decay and rad graffitti. I later went back to my hostel, met some folks and ended up going out for the BEST steak dinner. Later we made it out to a club, but 2 am was to early for the crowds. So we went to bar La Ronda, owned by Bob Dyllan, weird, but the graffitti in the banyo was great. Around the corner was Amok and it was filled with laid back folks dancin their asses off. I was adopted by a local crew and the night started getting really crazy. I can´t post a lot of the details. We went back n forth from Amok to Key club till 10 am. Was prowled hard by a really agressive girl, I guess I sent her the wrong signals... oops I could stay here forever, but I´m on the move tomorrow....

I may not be able to "live" in Buenos Aires BUT, I have a LOT to see before I come back to CA

So this thursday I'm taking a ferry to Montevideo for the weekend, then I'll hit up Colonia and Carmelo (in Uruguay) afterwhich I'll travel to Rosario (back in Argentina) where Che was born... from there I'll make my way to Iguazu falls, perhaps cross in to Brasil for a moment and then hit up Northwest Argentina, Jujuy and Satla, maybe take the "train of the clouds" the highest railroad in the world.... who knows, I'm off on an adventure... I really want to visit Bolivia as well, where chewing Coca leaves is the custom... I just wish I hadn't brought so much crap with me, thank god for friends who are going to hold my shizznitt for me.... I'm gonna com home in mid June... week or so before my b-day... I totally dig South America, but the Bay Area will always be home to me. I've come to pressume that it's the friendliest, most happenin'est, most funnestest place in the world, for me anyways.... I feel comfy there... So this trip is about to get really interesting, wish me suerte!!! BESOS!

For anyone who has been wondering what I have been up to out here, expect a full update when I get my own apartment with a relaible internet connection next weekend. There are moments I have been overcome with joy, saturated with wonder, moments of fear, and moments of sadness for the many empovrished inhabitants of this city of faded elegance. Americans have it way to easy. There were a few moments I have wanted to say "fuck it" and come home. But that's not my style. (pic is from plaza francia artisan faire, me gusta juguetes locos)

I wanted to stay down in Recoleta and shop for fancy shoes at a bargain, but my common sence got the best of me, the sky was swelling so I caught a taxi just in time!!! It's so fucking humid here nothing dries, my feet get all swelled up and mosquitos linger everywhere. Though, I'm sure I'll aclimate soon... meh... But you know what? The one thing I missed, the only thing really about Ohio, is thunder and lightnin' baby. I love the energy of a good storm! On another note I saw Evita Perons' grave today. I can't wait to buy a new camera so I can spend a few hours shooting photos there in that cemetery, it's uber creepy, cept for all the kittie cats hangin out. If it stops raining tonight I have a friend to show me around to some bars and clubs. My party houndin nose couldn't find a real bar within walking distance, what a shame. I did however, sit down and have a couple of cola y fernets with supper last night. Abrazos!
