how can you hardly know someone but already feel like they are one of the better friends you have? Heather has been awesome to me for about 3 months on tribe, commenting when no one else does, supporting me when no one else can, and i can only look forward to the time we actually meet face to face. the future for us i think is jolly! heh.
Men spend their lives in anticipations,--in determining to be vastly happy at some period when they have time. But the present time has one advantage over every other--it is our own. Past opportunities are gone, future have not come. We may lay in a stock of pleasures, as we would lay in a stock of wine; but if we defer the tasting of them too long, we shall find that both are soured by age.... (Charles Caleb Colton)
I BEG YOU... TO HAVE PATIENCE WITH EVERYTHING UNRESOLVED IN YOUR HEART AND TRY TO LOVE THE QUESTIONS THEMSELVES AS IF THEY WERE LOCKED ROOMS OR BOOKS UNWRITTEN IN A VERY FOREIGN LANGUAGE. DON'T SEARCH FOR THE ANSWERS, WHICH COULD NOT BE GIVEN TO YOU NOW, BECAUSE YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO LIVE THEM. AND THE POINT IS, TO LIVE EVERYTHING. LIVE THE QUESTIONS NOW. PERHAPS THEN, SOMEDAY FAR IN THE FUTURE, YOU WILL GRADUALLY WITHOUT EVEN NOTICING IT, LIVE YOUR WAY INTO THE ANSWER... RAINER MARIA RILKE

What I must do is all that concerns me, not what the people think. This rule, equally arduous in actual and intellectual life, may serve for the whole distinction between greatness and meanness. It is the harder, because you will always find those who think they know what is your duty better than you know it. It is easy in the world to live after the world's opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great person is one who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude... (Ralph Waldo Emerson) Life is a good teacher and a good friend. Things are always in transition if we could only realize it. Nothing ever sums itself up in the way that we would like to dream about. The off-center, in between state is an ideal situation, a situation in which we don't get caught, and in which we can open our hearts and minds beyond limit. The spiritual journey involves going beyond hope and fear, stepping into unknown territory, continually moving forward. The most important aspect of being on the spiritual path may be to just keep moving. Usually, when we reach our limit, we feel exactly like Rinpoche's attendants and freeze in terror. Our bodies freeze and so do our minds. Rather than indulge or reject our experience, we can somehow let the energy of the emotion, the quality of what we're feeling pierce us to the heart. This is a noble way to live. It’s the path of compassion - the path of cultivating human bravery and kindheartedness... (Pema Chodron) The choice between love and fear is made every moment in our hearts and minds. That is where the peace process begins. Without peace within, peace in the world is an empty wish. Like love, peace is extended. It cannot be brought from the world to the heart. It must be brought from each heart to another, and thus to all mankind. (Ferrini) Gender

about me
I am the movement of your body. I am the wind beneath your wings. I am the water that quenches your thirst. I am the sun that shines down on you. I am the strength that pushes you forward. I am the glow of a fyrefly. I am the bravery of those who protect us. I am the creation of all that is good. I am the air that you breathe. I am the love that fills your heart. I am the inspiration that keeps you creative. I am the pleasure you feel while making love. I am the calm that fills the air. I am the softness of your lips. I am the blood flowing through your veins. I am the sweetness of honey. I am the clouds that billow in the sky. I am the trust that you give to others. I am the delicious taste in your mouth. I am the fire in your eyes. I am the laughter in your belly. I am the stars twinkling in the sky. I am the freedom that crosses borders. I am the center of the universe. I am the reflection in your mirror. I am the life in you reminding you, "YOU ARE ALIVE!" I am you, you are me, we are all connected eternally..

I sat there wondering, thinking just how very far they are... I fell into a slumber with out so much rest As dreams came upon, withering down my chest. There they found a heart connected to the moon, So sacred and so loving they knew they'd be home soon. Wondering in warmth, the dreams in tune they asked, "What light you shine upon us, but what my dear's your task?" "To open up and love; support everthing Cause all of us are one and everything's a being." They didn't want to leave, but fully understood to bring it back to I, and that they knew they could. Startled I did waken staring at my chest That's what I'd forgotten and that I knew is blessed. So don't forget your heart for it will surely plead, "I am the key to life, and you planted the seed."
What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?

Mahatma Gandhi (1869 - 1948) People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered; Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives; Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies; Succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway. You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway. Written By Mother Teresa

Some of the best endeavors start out tough.... Some of the most wonderful experiences start out challenging... Some of the things we hold close to our heart start to disappoint us.... Some of the biggest rainbows start out as a storm... Some of the best things may become the worst things... Some of the things we start may turn out to be something entirely different in the end.... So.... keep shining and don't let anyone or anything steal your joy.... Shine on!
Always... be strong so that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

Always... speak of health, happiness, and prosperity to everyone you meet. Always... look at the sunny side of everything and make your happiness come true. Always... think of the best; work for the best; expect the best and be your personal best. Always... be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are of you're own. Always... be humbled by any past mistakes, never dwell on them; use them as wisdom for greater achievements in your future. Always... wear a cheerful countenance and give everyone you encounter a smile. Always... give so much time to improve yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Always... be too large for worry; too noble for anger; too strong for fear; and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. Always... be true to yourself.
BELIEVE NOTHING, NO MATTER WHERE YOU READ IT OR WHO HAS SAID IT, NOT EVEN IF I HAVE SAID IT, UNLESS IT AGREES WITH YOUR OWN REASON AND YOUR OWN COMMON SENSE... BUDDHA
