I'll not be surprised if Heidi conquers the world. There will be a flag waving over Kilimanjaro with her colors, and the people of Zanzibar will crown her their queen, I imagine.

She has Tinkerbell's sense of mischief and Pippy Longstocking's imagination. Heidi is a charming, compelling and joyful friend. She embodies the idea that "Interpretation is the revenge of the intellectual upon art"(S. Sontag) And she is out to have a bloody good time. I'll stay in touch with her here, and probably won't meet up with her until we both find ourselves in Europe!

All you have to do is twitch your little finger, Heidi, and you can change the world! You change mine just by being my friend. I bow deeply with respect.

Seriously, I've always felt that Heidi never got the recognition she deserved for her talent. She's a great singer, a terrific comic actor, and a joy to be around both on and off the stage.
