Cassandra is.. a yummy sweet yet totally smart ball of delicious, driven, fun, lovely, sexy, practical Goddesshood. She has inspired, counselled, supported, chatted with , lived with, partied with, studied with, and gotten in trouble with me with such grace and wisdom...sometimes I think she's channelling Mother mary or something with her sweet maternal softness and strength. She was even this awesome in High School. :P I will always be devoted to Cassandra as a lifelong friend!

I recently visited my hometown Bozeman, Montana. I found these two pieces I wrote about growing up there. The first I wrote when I was 17. The second I wrote when I was 14 and a shorter version was published in a collective poetry book.

Inspired by the painting, Waiting at the Automat

Early this morning, before the sun, I arrived in the town of my birth,
the town of my awakening. Throughout my adolescence, I held the company
of many friends here. Now I sit in the familiar cafe boo... read more
