May 2008 be filled with peace, love and the opportunity to joyfully wear new hats, just like Fugee. Doesn't he look happy?

If we haven't had the chance to connect in 2007, I'll try to be better in 2008.

Craig is a great mercurial thinker, feeler and freewheeler... I've had the pleasure of working with him, and he's always has a laugh in the face of samsara that lightens any load. His stories are priceless, witty and wise, insightful and inspiring, Craig has the strength to climb Kilamanjaro and the sweetness to soothe a wild beast named Fuji. Plus he has some totally boss ink. May NYC appreciate the gift that is Craig.
Thanks for the Medicine Buddha thangka and the cool Ganesh Craigums!

my fellow connecticut little idiot.

i know, politics = tedious.

sorry.

as an aside, tonight at studio b in bklyn was really fun.

i love playing rave records.

sad that rave died.

it was so utopian and celebratory.

ah, well.

so, politics.

why isn't there any moderation in u.s politics?

like gun control, for example.

why can't a candidate say: 'ok, nra, you want to hunt and shoot targets?

fine, why do you need cop killer bullets and automatic weapons? how about we reach a compromise where you can keep guns and we can have background checks and licensing and restrictions on gun ownership to keep people safe?'

why is/are american politics so polarized?

i personally think that a candidate who was pragmatic and sensible would clean up.

i.e-a candidate who accepted that evolutionary theory was valid and that automatic weapons and cop-killer bullets shouldn't be available to the populace and that global warming is worth investigating and so on.

we have 3 republican candidates who don't believe in evolution?

i mean, really?

OF COURSE THEY BELIEVE IN EVOLUTION.

they're just afraid of alienating the insane right wing.

so they lie.

politicians are too comfortable with compromise and deceit.

ok, that's all.

time for bed.

god visits in different forms--a stranger, a virus, a lover, a thief.
where were you the day you mistook passion for greed, lust for love, horror as beauty?
where were you the day you turned god away?

complexified:
Just your typical/atypical, HIV positive-, Weimaraner owning-, Gemini Scorpio rising-, cynical optimist-, world traveling-, funny/serious-, extroverted introvert. I embrace life fully and powerfully, live responsibly in the present, have left jobs of importance for calls to the road. I’ve raised almost 100,000 dollars for AIDS/Breast Cancer and wildlife causes, ridden bikes in Montana, California, Alaska, Laos, Burma, run a marathon in Hawaii, climbed Kilimanjaro, sat with mountain gorillas, seen a tiger on foot, a leopard, been charged by rhinos in Nepal, I’ve laughed in Burma, had malaria in India, dived with whale sharks in Thailand, met the Dalai Lama, Stevie Nicks, Elizabeth Montgomery, Bill Clinton, Yul Brenner, Carol Channing, Michu-the world’s smallest man, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Beck. What have I learned? I know nothing and everything. Family and personal growth are my greatest joys. At times my dog can smell like an old shoe. So can I.

Life As Alchemy.

"Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain. And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy; And you would accept the seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields. And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief."... read more
