SOoOO busy!! And the weekend after the last performance is Raqs B and then after that I'm off to NY for 2 whole weeks!!!! *DEEP BREATH*

I just logged on to tribe...and noticed that I have 8 profile views..... that never happens!! Who's beeen loooooin', eh??? just curious....... While I'm here I might as well do an update............. Been workin loads....Raqs Britannia is going to be super fun this year!! I can't wait to put the website live and start taking bookings! I dyed my hair last night and all I can smell is peroxide.....but I'm blonder!!! YAAAYYY!! AND I'm going to the salon tomorrow to talk to someone about my dreads....finally. My mom is going to kill me when she sees me in June. Philippa and I are teaching classes on Monday and Tuesday nights now. Beginners on Monday and then Intermediate/Advanced on a Tuesday. I'm about to debut our new website, with our new logo! How very exciting.....and along with that...all will get to see our student troupe, Apsara Tribal Bellydance. They are fantastic! That's about all for now.... .... :D

I just got back from the GS Intensive with Carolena and Megha! And let me tell you....the only moment that topped it....is when I got married! I LOVE ATS!!! I have to go to bed now....I work all weekend and then it's off to the TEACHER TRAINING!!! WOO! I'll go into more after things have settled :)

This is my Koi! He's on my right hip (of course!) Hilde came up with a cute name for him! "Ananas" which means Pineapple....because that's kinda what he looks like! But now I'm all asymetrical again...I'm going to have to get my left side done soon too!

well, my time in NY ends tomorrow. Matt and I will be returning to London bright and early wednesday morning after a very interesting trip! I won't bore you with the details...it was mostly camping and seeing family and friends. But by far, my favorite leg of the jouney was staying at my parents cottage in the Thousand islands. i will never get bored of that place for as long as I live. I've been there almost every year since I was born...and I'll always go back....the picture is a snapshot of the beautiful sunset I got to watch from the bay. :) While I love NY, I've come to except that it will never feel like home again. It's a great place to visit.....but I cannot wait to get back to crazy London!!!!!! I've missed you all!

I woke up at 11am... went to the florist to pick up some pink Gerber daisys, went home..... put on a bright pink and black dress with my ladies at my side... Went to hackney town hall in the rain.. and... Got Married to Matt Stanbridge, the most awesome guy in the world! I'm so Lucky!!! :D 1 year down...many many more to go!

MOIRAI wil be performing at: Saqarah London's Monthly Open Belly Dance Hafla Saturday 19th April 2008 at Horse Bar, (Behind Waterloo Station) 124 Westminster Bridge Road, SE1 7XG Map Doors 7 pm Dancing 8 pm Disco & Bar till late Advance tickets: £7 if you book online thereafter £10 on the door (if event not sold out) We are constrained by space so please book early to avoid dissapointment. We have currently have limited seating but if you would like to reserve seats please state so when you pay. Seats will be reserved on a first come first serve basis - so the earlier you book your ticket the more likely you are to get a seat. We regret that seats can only reserved by those who have paid for tickets in advance. AND MOIRAI will be teaching workshops and performing in Mildenhall! There are 2 workshops: The first will be a beginners basic workshop and the second will be focusing on more advanced technique and group improvisation. Performances in the evening will feature Moirai as well as Neo-Hips (our wonderful hosts!!) and Kerry! If you would like more info, PM me or Neo-Hips! Class Change this week!

Please note our class this week be taking place tomorrow (Tuesday the 8th April) instead of Wednesday. It will be in the downstairs studio at the Islington Arts Factory from 6:30-8:00pm as usual. For those of you who are interested and haven't yet signed up, we still have spaces. This course will provide a thorough foundation in the fundamental principles of tribal belly dance, including posture, movements and isolations, based on the FatChanceBellyDance format. We will review the basic fast and slow movements covered in the previous course, add to your dance vocabulary of moves, drill cues, transitions, formations, zils, and how to improvise within a group. In each class, you will have the opportunity to build core strength and flexibility, as well as develop connections with other dancers in a fun and supportive atmosphere! Just booked my open stage slot at Tribalondon. This will be my first solo at a BDSS event. I've performed solos before, but for some reason, this one makes me really f-ing nervous. Dancing for Dancers always does....mostly because they will all know when I mess up! EEP! So if you're going to be there, and are not in a workshop, come see my solo and give me a shot of vodka to ease the butterflies! I'll be on at 3:30pm on that Saturday! Now....it's time to go choreograph something!
