Amazing Workshops by Tribal Superstar Samantha Emanuel (formerly Samantha Hasthorpe) on tour visiting Ireland and hosted by Hip Circles Bellydance School!
Our loved Sam is gracing our school for the third time with workshops at Cork Dance Studio. So we want old and new friends to enjoy and share her dance!
4:30 to 6:30pm: "Combinations for Improvisation"
Level: All Levels
Description: "Jumping is to soaring as improvisation is to choreography" Lynne Anne Blom
Play with Tribal Style movements through practicing short combinations with varying tempos.
Slow and strong, fast and fluid. Including cues to signal the combination thus enabling the dancer to add it to an improvised group performance piece. Bring a yoga mat and drinking water.
Fees: €35
6:30 to 8:30pm: "Choreography"
Level: All Levels
Description: "Samantha fuses her short distinctive combos for this new choreography. Strengthening techniques and drills will be included, utilizing new and old concepts to better support the core and enable isolations of key muscle groups for Tribal Fusion choreography. This piece flows at a slower tempo enabling participants to really focus on internalizing the movements. Some floor work may be included. Hone liquefied arms, strong posture and clean technique.
Bring a yoga mat and water. If you suffer knee problems please bring knee pads/braces for the floor work.
Fees: €35

We welcome anyone coming from outside Cork who needs some info about how to make it to this exciting event. The best news is that everything regarding distances between train & bus stations, dance studio & accommodation are within VERY close proximity, only a couple of hundred meters from each other, all around MacCurtain Street, in Cork city Centre. You will not need a taxi between them.
FROM THE AIRPORT
You can either reach the city, either by bus, taxi or shuttle.

You can instead take the airport bus to the city for a little less.Bus Eireann provides a regular bus service from Cork Airport to Cork's Parnell Place bus station every 30-40 minutes throughout the week (slightly less frequently during early morning and late evening hours and weekends). The journey time is around 30 minutes. Adult Single: €4.10, Adult Day Return: €6.00
SHUTTLE
Skylink (tel: (021) 432 1020 has coaches departing the airport every 30 minutes, seven days a week, and connecting with over 30 city hotels, guest houses and city centre locations.

Cork Airport is located to the southeast of the City of Cork on the south end of the N27 when coming from the north, west or east of Cork and off the R600 when coming from Kinsale.
