So, what's been going on?
Well, over the last few months, I've been back and forth to Spain - Barcelona, Madrid, Marbella/Puerto Banus. A business associate has been looking for potential bar/restaurant sites in Spain and I've been consulting for him.
Anyway, we've located a suitable site in Puerto Banus on the Costa del Sol and I'll be moving to Spain permanently in the New Year, initially to oversee the opening of the venue - looking after staffing, training, menus, advertising etc ...

Damn. A lot has happened. People have come and gone. Tribes have disappeared or changed beyond all recognition. Friendships have been made and lost again.
It's almost enough to make me feel nostalgic.
Oh well, as I believe they may shout at political gatherings "Four more years! Four more years!"

Hybrid makes my naughty bits tingle. And my brain, too. He's always got something to say to make me laugh when I want to cry. He also makes me want to cry for being all the way across that damn pesky pond called the Atlantic from him. When I had a bad date with a Brit, he reassured me that, in fact, they all were not pompous asses. And in getting to know this phenomenal bloke, I'm believe him.

Hybrid.... what can I say about my friend from across the ocean??? And here I thought all them 'brits were just pompous asses!!! lol... well he is that I suppose... (j/k)... but the reality is the man is insightful and witty and is one of the few people I've ever debated only to find myself at a loss for words and having to question my view on things. Granted, I wasn't on the Harvard debate team or anything, but I've found in life very few people who can make me question my opinions because they were countered so intelligently.
Besides the guy is always great for a laugh!!! =)
I look forward to getting to know him better and better as time goes on!

The Kid is one of the heroes of our time. A modern-day legend. And what a SaWEET ass! Were I to be attacked by strangers while strolling/jogging through a park at night, I'd hope that someone like the Kid (equally handsome and debonair) would come to my rescue. If there were more heroes, would there be so much violent crime? If we stand up for one another, for human rights and the environment, we will have EARNED the right to our precious time here on earth. What have *you* done to make the world a better place lately?
While I know you say that you are in no way related to Kid Rock, Kid You Rock! bright, witty, sweet, brave and heroic. and cute. dang. as i have said before, you are one fine specimen of man.

This Hybrid here is a seriously sweet guy, although he leads with his humor (make that "humour") and cynicism. He makes every tribe better just by being on it. I like his unpredictability. Just when you think he's going to be really sweet, you get scattalogical humor. When you're expecting slapstick, you get deep critical reflection. Most people on Tribe pick a shtick and go with it. Hybrid doesn't, and that's what makes him so fucking cool. It's this mish-mosh of keen intelligence, self-deprication, hard living, rapier wit, bone-dry satire, and self-awareness that makes him, well, HIM! He's at the very tippy top of my list of favorite tribe peeps.
