When it's all so smooth and tight
There is nary a glitch
When you're scratched just right
On that special itch
When there's a DJ in the night
Going scritch-scratch-scritch
Much to your delight
You may encounter Hitch
~
Married to the spirit
Towing his own load
Tying his own knots
In his own humble abode
Swimming like a minnow
Thumbing his own ride
Better than a Will Smith Movie
This Hitch is bonafide
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitch~
Hosting Knights at his house
Or busting on the mission rock
Flying acroyoga
Or styling ladies round the c(l)ock
Might I suggest you get some Hitch
Enhance your life with something rich.....

Why is Hitch swimming in abundance? Because he is abundant.
This man has it all, because he shares it all. Full of love because he loves his friends. Comfortable, because he provides comfort. Happy because he creates happiness.
The only person to make is home into an honest to goodness energy vortex, his friendship is a blessing and a gift, and it keeps on giving.
Rock on brotha, rock on...

"Santa Barbara boy goes to Nairobi U."
Thought he's never said anything to me in Swahili, that says a little bit about Hitch, but what says more is that how he is an integral part of so many people and communities around. I mean, all these photos of the Waffle and Conexus, while I thought I had photos and memories of him helping Hookahdome set up... maybe he cloned himself? He was on our scaffold, then he was... over at AE Village, then he was at... Yo! Hitch! Everyone knows Hitch, so it seems.
Hitch is the epitome of a community-minded person, a true leader, and someone who is always going the extra mile for others. So, transporting his shit to the playa to let him "hitch" was no problem at all. I wish we hadn't lost his tent. Oops.
What Hitch embodies above all else the the attitude of indefatigable resourcefulness. This guy is unbeatable in that department. I am honored to know him and call him a bud. He makes a mean Chiplotle Pasta Sauce too. Chicks seem to dig him, which is respectable, and I think he's a bit of a real estate mogul too. Does that make him an Ubërsexual instead of a Metrosexual?
Maybe someday he'll take over for Gavin? You know everything is gonna be alright when Hitch is around. I think that says enough.

FEARWALK INDIA, Spring 2008
MY YOGA
In 2008 I was not into yoga. I loved the practice of partner acrobatics and AcroYoga, and by luck and determination I even became an AcroYoga teacher. But I had never seriously studied traditional yoga. Now I was ready to embrace what India, the yoga capital of the world, had to offer.
YOGA FOR INDIANS
I idealized yoga in India. To me it made sense that over a billion people would be practicing this ancient art of being. I imagined hours...

April 5, 2008 – Pushkar, 5:30am
HOLY
Upon arrival at Pushkar Lake, a sacred destination in the Rajasthani desert for Hindu pilgrims to bathe, I find the perfect stand-alone room overlooking the water. It is built on a barrier separating two bathing ghats—pinkish staircases descending from the village to the sacred water. This is the place where Gandhi’s ashes were scattered at one of the 52 ghats that encircle the lake, and it is said that Brahma and Vishnu both visited here. I am alr...

March 27-30, 2008 – Dengue Fever
My trip since the Taj Mahal visit hasn’t gone well. After flying Matthew for some fun AcroYoga photos in front of the Taj, we worked up quite an appetite. We befriended and treated to dinner an eccentric alcoholic English speaking Rickshaw driver in his fifties named Geerybaba. He claimed to have traveled the world and to have been married to an Austrian woman, but now is just a poor alcoholic Rickshaw driver with good English and a good heart. Most pe...

GEM SMUGGLER
Moments after disembarking from a rickety 6-hour bus ride from Bundi to Jaipur, I found a rickshaw driver and carried my bag to the street to wait for his vehicle . As I waited, a clean cut mid-twenties man in a pink polo shirt randomly walked up to me and, in decent English, began making typical friendly conversation. He said he was from Mumbai, but studying for his MBA in Jaipur and working for an export company that deals in diamonds. He said...

WEEK # 5 & 6 – CIRCUS, NORTHERN THAILAND
STAGE
The schools we visited had few resources or money to provide us anything like a true stage for our circus performance, so we had to improvise. We’d scan the premises for a place to teach and perform, and often found a sloped and rutted patch of dirt, a rough dried out rice paddy, or a crumbling patio of partially broken concrete. This created some obvious challenges and risks to teaching and performing for the...

about me
trusting, smiling, flexible, smart, intuitive, chameleonic, sometimes a mirror for others to see themselves, adaptable, enjoy people, love to nonverbally connect with others, especially through dancing.
human touch is important to me. i am becoming an acroyogi. i am studying massage and often enjoy giving touch as much as receiving. hugs with receptive people can be a tremendous way to loving, positive energy.
though i am childless, i get on with kids extremely well. i enjoy their explorations and playfulness and honesty.
i happen to be a 20+ year ovolactovegetarian, but dine with vegans and meat eaters alike.
i don't drink b/c i just never learned to like the taste. most of my friends drink and i go to bars and clubs, but i don't like aggressive or mean behavior. i dislike cigarrette smoke immensely.
i am tolerant of different lifestyles and people and cultures and religions.

As the wind storm hit, I balanced w/ my feet atop the guard rail of the lift-50’ above ground-one hand grabbing the structure, the other firing a nail gun. Wind reverberations made the board I held pop out, throwing me off balance--Belgians caught me!
After we finished our work on the lift, this is what we looked like after the wind storm. This is Jan, one of the two lead organizers of the Belgian Waffle--The Uchronian Project. See www.uchronians.org for pix & story...
