about me
I have blue hair and I don't watch TV. I found myself at Burning Man and I never left. I like large, collaborative projects, and have formed camp Nose Fish at Burning Man with my friends. Together we assemble and operate the Desert Nose, and cool of thousands of people in the famous nasal spray. Outside of Burning Man, I'm a software engineer professionally and I am the drummer in a band, Pavlov's Kats (www.pavlovskats.com) that gigs every other week. I love skating and formed the sfskaters.org mailing list to help support the skating community in SF and the bay area. I love creating art and have explored polymer clay (www.3ddoodle.com) and painting (www.fishmobile.net).

(in Geodesic Design Group)
Simply bring along a pair of vise grips. Grip the rebar and twist back and forth while pulling up. I've never had a problem getting them out, but if you do, pour a little water into the hole around the rebar and it will loosen the playa.

Re: Rebar question for 16' Geo dome
(in Geodesic Design Group)
five -- evenly distributed around the dome. I use 2' rebar (5/8" diameter). I don't bend it. I just pound it in straight. I position each on the inside of the dome, right over a vertex, at an angle so the end points outside the dome. Then I c...

Here I am in Hamburg, Germany. I've been having a nice time staying and visiting with my girlfriend's family and friends. The days are very long because Germany is so far north. It gets dark about 10:30pm and gets light by 5am.

This is a picture of a statue of a traditional water carrier. Men would carry water for sale in this way. There are lots and lots of these statues, each one painted differently. It reminded me of the many Hearts in San Francisco -- each one painted differently... read more
